Fixed position "floating" submit buttons rocked our user testing

After months of tinkering with our Drupal distro and the custom theme to go with it, I finally got a chance this weekend to run a user test. The subject, Diana is not computer savvy. For example, a link or button has to look click-able (shouldn't it always!) for her to click it. When I asked her to create a blog post, she clicked the blog navigation link and wondered why there was no form for her to complete. She did not immediately see the "Create content" link. Diana uses a Mac and admits she is right brain dominant.

Since there are quite a few Drupal themes that are based on the 960 Grid System, I thought I would share here that I've developed a bit of JS that allows you to switch grid dimensions on-the-fly. You can read more about it here...

I'm looking at putting together an initiative that will look into the user experience of administrating a Drupal site through a non-desktop PC.

Road Map

Redesigning the navigation of the admin interface on small and touch screens.
Heavily modifying the 'Seven' Theme to become more responsive and mobile friendly

"Mobile User" Experience

The emphasis is not on the device, but on the context of the person using it. I would almost call it 'device agnostic'. What is important is that the user is not sitting at as desk facing a big screen. They could be on the bus, sitting in a cafe or walking back from work.

I would love to put together a Drupal 7.0 SEO checklist. Please feel free to add/edit.

All comments should be related to SEO in Drupal 7.0 and unless directly relevant should not contain Drupal 6.0 advice (although links to D6 are welcome).

The SEO Checklist module (available for both 6 and 7) has most of these included it in with automatic checks, datestamps, links to the download pages, and links to the config pages. Very, very helpful module. http://drupal.org/project/seo_checklist

I thought I would start a discussion regarding the ability for designers to be able to contribute to Drupal and a possible way in which this could be achieved. I'm warey about posting this in any of the issue queues at the moment as I wanted to get some initial feedback first.

The idea would be to have an additional project type created titled "Graphics" which could have some form of categorization for designers to be able to contribute a variety of graphics to help others and to start collaborative projects with themers and developers.

So after a few years research, learning, doing, crying, hair pulling, hitting myself in the head with a hammer and a few months worth of group discussion reading I feel that it's time for me to make a move on my asperations to start designing Drupal themes and I need some input from the community, as afterall this idea is for the community.

visiting url:mysite.com/login,loading template not page.tpl.php,but is login.tpl.php.
How to implement above function?
some code $variables['template_files'][]...in drupal 6 can solve this problem,Why this method won't work in drupal 7?
