GitHub Project - Nginx configuration for Drupal and Aegir
There are many ways to use Nginx. With Aegir and Boost compatible configuration, without all that Aegir and Boost related stuff, with subdirectory install, compatible with Purl and Spaces, and many different modules, where some specific rewrites are required.
It is always handy to have something tested and working as default setup, but there is also room for improvements, different setups, and it seems GitHub fork feature would be useful to create and maintain different configuration examples for wider audience.

Hello,
We are having stability problems on our Drupal site. We have a dedicated server which runs mainly our Drupal site and couple of other small sites. Daily visitor is around 20.000 and around 17.000 is on Drupal and only 200-300 are registered.
We have Gainestown E5520 8 cores(running as 16 cores) CPU with 8 GB ram and fast disk configuration enough. As all can guess hardware infrastructure is well enough to manage whole work. Configuration is simply:
PHP 5.2 cgi mode
Apache 2.2.14
APC installed, MPM_WORKER
Suhosin
Mercury 0.9-Beta released
Mercury 0.9-Beta has been released. Updates in this version include:
1) mysql configured to use per-table storage for innodb
2) apc replace by memcached (apc is still installed and can be enabled in settings.php)
3) mecached configured with 8 bin by default
And as mentioned before, we're starting support for BCFG2 server configuration. BCFG2 will be fully supported by the next (1.0) release of Mercury.
The AMI names are PANTHEON-pressflow-mercury-32-0.9-Beta.manifest.xml and PANTHEON-pressflow-mercury-64-0.9-Beta.manifest.xml
AMI ID's are:
us-west:
32: ami-c7530282
Can Drupal possibly handle hundreds of millions of nodes?
Hi all,
I want to build a book review site that will start with millions of nodes -- every book is a node. Meanwhile, logged in users can create nodes as they like, for example, to add new books. I also need to use organic groups, and group members will be free to post contents (which are also nodes) in the group.

Update: I figured out the many steps to running Drupal in a MySQL Cluster and you can find them here: http://www.coderintherye.com/drupal-mysql-cluster-ndbcluster-high-availability
Hi guys. I'm trying to run Drupal on a MySQL cluster. I know the docs have been updated to show this is not supported, but looks like some of you guys have got it going. I've been documenting what I have been doing and hope to post up info when done, as info on this is a bit scarce.

I'm looking into a CDN solution for my site since it is hosted on the West Coast with rich media and clients on the east coast are experiencing some lag. I've narrowed it down to 2 modules that fit the bill.

Lazy sessions with PF5 and Varnish problem
I'm having trouble with a Pressflow install and its lazy session handling.
The issue
Anonymous page views are still getting a session cookie and thus the Cache-Control:max-age header is being set to 0, making it difficult to have Varnish cache pages.
Suggestion for performance nginx setup in CentOS 5.3
Hello,
Maybe next week I will setup a dedicated server.
Server hardware:
Dual core ATOM 330
2GB RAM
Swap: 2.2GB
OS: CentOS 5.3
Drupal:
-Use MySQL DB
-Use boost
(some of my website use statistic, some not, but all use boost)
-Lots of anonymous user, with high read & low write
For this serer, what I want is:
-highest request/sec
-lowest RAM & CPU usage
Below is what will I do, but because I dont have experience in nginx, so I hope there will be suggestion (Which one has duplicated function and can be ignored, or not enough something...)

Hi,
I currently operate 1 international D6 site (traffic even from US and EU) with apx 100.000 nodes and 150.000 users. I am having huge load problems and my host does not seem to have the required drupal knowhow to make it work. The site is suffering badly. In one month from now I will be launching a new smaller site for a danish audience on the different subject, but also D6.
