I never seem to make it down to LA on Tuesdays, but Monday, Oct 27th, several Drupalers and Videobloggers are in town for conferences (DCIA and DigitalHollywood) or coming back through town on the way back from ACM Denver. Access Community Media folks are hot on Drupal and we will be participating in workshops and panels about Drupal and hanging out with the good folks from Denver Open Media and the Open Media Project. When we come back through Los Angeles, we'll be all fired up about community media applications of Drupal and looking forward to seeing visiting friends. If you are into community access, videoblogging or Drupal, please come on down to Canter's Deli on Fairfax in LA for a meet, greet and eat with other open source and open media geeks.
Agenda:
- Open Media, Videoblogging and Drupal
- Some new open media Drupal 6 sites
- Report from Denver ACM West
- Dinner!
Update: Our good friends at blip.tv are in town for Digital Hollywood and had the same idea and so we are merging meetups. Come and meet blip.tv content creators. Hey! That's us too. Lot's of Drupal videos on blip.tv. Time changed to 7:30pm - mss

Is one day later a possibility?
Too bad this isn't on Tuesday - we could invite everyone over to our usual monthly meeting which is the Next night, Tue Oct 28, at our usual meeting spot. It would be much nicer to have a larger group get together with more sharing and networking opportunities.

Do both!
Most of us are just in town for the one night, hence the Monday choice.
The good news is, this makes at least two Drupal events this week that people can attend.
P.S. I don't see why the "too bad". The goal here is not so much to attract a large audience as it is to have dinner with friends. :)

What a great meetup!
Thanks to everyone who came by, it was wonderful to see so many old friends again. About 30 people showed up. We had a great mix of content creators and geeks from LADrupal, NMI, Tiki-Bar TV, French-Maid TV, Epic-FU, Outhink Media, BrainCandy, blip.tv and several others. Lot's of folks interested in using Drupal; several already are :) Turned out to be an excellent networking event.
Thanks to Canter's for being a great host.

Sorry to have missed this
...although I think my head would have exploded from all the additional ideas, connections, and opportunities. Looking forward to fleshing out the 'production' goals and getting back into the game. - http://groups.drupal.org/node/15975

Sponsors
There were several potential sponsors there and I did get a chance to speak with one about your proposal Gus. I'll try and follow up on that this week.
