Just a simple Heads up / For what it's worth /
I just read that DreamHost is running a New Years special on Hosting /
2 years for $11 (yep. $11) plus a Domain!
Now I am in No way advocating ANY hosting (honestly, I don't even host with DreamHost)
[just realized I just lost a few friends over at BarCampLA anyway :-) ]
Just figured I post it For What It's Worth if any LA Drupalers are looking for testing or simple site space.
Really not sure how long it'll last. Thats all I know. Just shar'in the info.

Thanks for the info. After seeing your post I thought I'd at least take a look after I was so hard on them last year, but it looks like their signup site is dreamhosed. That's not very good for a company specializing in web hosting.
I think this deal makes sense only if you're already hosted with them so that you can transfer existing domains to a cheaper account.

I filled out the sign up form and
refreshed /// stuck with it and // sure enough //
(well not actually $11?) dont know why but $20 for 2 years PLUS a domain it came out to for me

I actually had a problem with my email on sign up and I sent an email to them and within minutes they fixed it.
But I think it's because their sign up page is/was getting bombarded from that deal.
