The next SoCal Code Camp conference at Cal Sate Fullerton was just announced. This is a great conference for networking and learning. I participated in the last conference back in October and made an introductory presentation on Drupal. The audience response was excellent. In fact the organizers of the conference talked to me and asked to promote the conference with the drupal community. They would like to see more drupal content at their conference. As some of you may know, the content at this conference is heavily dotNET but more and more people are looking for web development solutions that drupal offers.
I encourage all drupalers to consider presenting drupal related content. It's a great way to be exposed and many times business opportunities are born from such conferences.
Thanks everyone and hope to see you at the next Code Camp. For more information go to http://www.socalcodecamp.com/

SANDcamp overlap
Sounds great Mario with getting more Drupal involvement at the codecamp. Looks though that for some Saturday the 28th of CalState CodeCamp will overlap with SANDcamp.

PHP/Drupal sessions at previous SoCal Code Camps
I had presented PHP/Drupal topics at previous SoCal Code camps years ago and saw there is a super-high number of .Net & Microsoft related sessions and even though MS supports Drupal, with products including IIS & SQL Server, this may be a better time for people there to hear about Drupal/PHP.

I mentioned this to the organizer
I almost always volunteer to spread the Drupal word at these code camps, which happen quite regularly. I generally get a small audience wanting to hear about Drupal, and I'm happy to do it as long as we don't have a real Drupalcamp going on (SANDcamp!). I talked with Woody (SCCC Organizer) about this and told him that there would likely be nobody talking about Drupal at this camp do to the timing conflict. He was sad to hear about it, but neither of us can move the dates, so if you wanna talk about Drupal, come to SANDcamp this time, and catch SCCC next time around.
Also take note that SANDcamp is a Friday-Saturday camp this year, so if you wanna make both, you can go to SANDcamp on Friday and or Saturday and still make SCCC on Sunday.
