Non-Drupal: Macintosh Email Clients

I am asking this question here because I see many Drupal people using Macintosh systems. I am not a Mac user, but a client of mine is. He is currently using Entourage (came with Office 2004, 2008) to handle his email. It has been giving him lots of problems and he wants to consider other clients, and possible Gmail. He currently has email on his domain, but that can be redirected to a Gmail account.

I would like to hear what other people are using and like - open source, included with OS, or paid clients are all acceptable. It needs to support IMAP, be easy to use for a non-technical user, and support HTML email (send and receive).

Thank you.

Mail.app on Mac

I use Mac's because I was doing a lots of ProTools and do Mac support. I don't like the Entrouage and use Apples Mail.app it supports both POP and IMAP accounts. I also have a GMail account so I can get to it from anywhere. I have my Mac Mail configured to read my Gmail. On my Linux installs I've recently started using Thunderbird again to read my Gmail.

Personally I would have him get Goolge Apps for the domain (free for the first 10 users). I only use the Google interface, I don't think there is HTML email support but aI could be wrong as I use Mailchimp for that so I really never looked into it.

I think Mac Mail you can do HTML emails. Postbox is really nice too and I think will do everything you would like.

I use the built-in Mail.app with SpamSieve and MailActOn.

I'm still on 10.6. I've heard varying reports on the changes for 10.7 in Mail, both good and bad, but SpamSieve is great for keeping spam away in most Mac email clients, and MailActOn gives me single-key-press mail filing in Mail, which is really handy. Mail supports rudimentary HTML email composition, but you can also build an HTML email outside Mail, load it in Safari, then use File > Mail Contents of This Page to send a page as an HTML email.

Sparrow and Postbox are both on my radar if I ever get tired of Mail.

I can't handle Thunderbird, though I've tried it; the XUL interface annoys me.
