Overview:
Join Acquia and your peers in media and entertainment for an invitation-only event at Marina del Rey Marriott on August 8th. We will explore how leading organizations are leveraging the power of open source Drupal to deploy business-critical websites that advance their digital strategy including their social, content management, and community requirements.
Attendees will hear a special presentation from the senior digital media director from The GRAMMYs. The event will also feature a panel discussion with leaders from Hollywood Reporter and other entertainment agencies. They will offer expert advice and real-world experience showcasing how Drupal empowers media and entertainment organizations to innovate and scale to meet growing customer expectations, to consolidate multiple environments on to one platform, and to capitalize on emerging Web Content Management, Web Engagement Management and Social Publishing opportunities.
It's no surprise that Drupal helps leading media and entertainment organizations - like Maxim, NBC Universal, and Warner Music Group - to benefit from increased flexibility and uptime, better reliability, and lower total cost of ownership - all while delivering the rich web experience that consumers demand.
Agenda:

Will see if any customers want to attend before I consider coming... and signing up.
If so you'll hear from me shortly... the trick will be actually getting a headcount and getting that headcount to you before hand.
I expect to see you there.

Glad to see another one of these. It's great to see how Drupal is being used by companies that are actually in Los Angeles. Thanks!

Thank you, Acquia, for producing this event, and to Riot Games, THR and the Recording Academy for presenting. As I said in an earlier comment, it really is great to see how Drupal is being used by companies that are actually in Los Angeles.
Many thanks to Kieran Lal, as well, for mentioning the High Performance Drupal meetups, and to the panelists for mentioning our Drupal job fair at Droplabs! As one of the founders, I'm biased when I say that Droplabs and its sponsors are succeeding at connecting the open source and business communities, but it does seem to be the case by any measure.
One of the frequent messages given during the Drive Drupal LA event is that Acquia has a strong interest of being a shepherd of the Drupal community. If anyone from Acquia would like to follow up here, I'd love to hear you speak more on that subject.
I'll kick off with a few questions. What are the responsibilities that Acquia sees having toward the community? When an Acquia employee is involved in an event or initiative, is it by extension supported by Acquia? Please discuss.

Many thanks to all the DrupalCamp LA sponsors and supporters, especially John Romine at UCI for hosting us! I'm certain the event wouldn't have been possible without his time and dedication.
Exaltation of Larks and Chapter Three were excited to provide the only paid, full-day training at this year's DrupalCamp LA. We hope to offer training at greatly reduced prices again next year.
Chris, can you reduce the size of that photo? It's around 4600x3000 pixels and is almost 4MB in size. Thanks!
edit: Mentioning that the Ch3 and Larks training was the only paid, full-day training.
