Presentation: Drupal 7 Theming: Responsive frontend
Mike Stewart will present how to tame Drupal theming using Zen 5.x for Drupal 7. The latest incarnatino of Zen is built on top of css preprocessor: sass, compass, and the amazing www.zengrids.com -- which is not exclusive to Drupal. This presentation will be a hands on demonstration of how to setup a zen subtheme and then utilize compass & zengrids for some amazingly fast and flexible mobile-first theming in Drupal. Depnding on the crowd there will be plenty of time for theory, questions, and hands-on demos.
Lightning Talks: standup and share 5 minutes of coolness
Prizes: Thanks to our sponsors, we have www.BuildAModule.com and www.NodeSquirrel.com we have a prizes to raffle! Plus stickers and other cool badcamp giveaways.

Special Thanks to our host: WE Labs
We Labs is an awesome co-working space in Downtown Long Beach geared toward the local creative and entrepreneurial crowd. From their website: Work Evolution Laboratories is a co-working space for creative freelance professionals where they have access to the tools necessary to succeed in their small business. In addition we assist our members in the marketing of their business, and foster a collaborative atmosphere where creativity can thrive. WE labs is not just a place for people to come to work, it’s where independent business owners come to be a part of a community.
They are generously hosting the meetup in their beautiful & inspiring workspace. If you're looking to find others to connect with and co-work with ... definitely check out their space. WE Labs is great example of what makes Long Beach awesome!

Oops, hit send too soon. I meant to ask about dinner venue... anyone have any good suggestions? At the moment, I'm leaning towards Taco Beach because I know they have happy hour at that time and they're around the coner about two doors down from WE Labs.
But the meeting is right downtown with sooo many choices, didn't know if anyone had other suggestions for food before the meetup?
Kings Fish House? Sevilla? Allegria? Le Creperie? Georges Greek Kitchen? Octopus? Gaucho Grill? more: http://goo.gl/maps/KPiy6
These are all within about 50yrds of the entrence, so we've tons of choices.

For the very informative evening. Nice space and interesting subject. Heard from my online study group members (http://drupalistasgroup.com/) that drupal groups in Colorado and Florida were also discussing Zen and sass(scss), compass last week.
