Gauging Interest in possible pick-up soccer game in Los Angeles

Thanks for suggesting this. I live in west hollywood, but can travel a bit to help make this happen. I have folding goals (and other gear if necessary), so we can play anywhere we can find a space.

I'm open to times and locations, but can help suggest possible places if no one else has any ideas.

In also! Been hoping someone would suggest/start this. It's been a LONG time since kicking the old ball around & I don't even own a pair of cleats anymore hehe. Since I've recently started to get back on a healthier regimen, this comes at a perfect time (& with a bunch of ppl I already love hanging out with!).

RE: where? Living in South Central L.A. where there's lots of Latinos who play soccer in leagues of varying levels, I'm surrounded by spaces we can possibly use but since not many of you probably live out this way it's possibly not a good fit since it's not very central. I'll go wherever y'all find a spot & am totally game to travel somewhere that makes it easier for @BTMash to participate (i.e. SFV) since he lives pretty far from most of us (well don't know all of u but the ones that I do know).

It'd be cool, if we get enough folks to make it a "thing" & wouldn't it be fun to make a "Los Drupaleros" team that played in a weekly adult league? Ok, I'm clearly overexcited & suffering from lack of sleep but hey, I can dream right? ;)

To make it easier, should we post where we all live to figure out where we can find a central place? I'll start (& will fill in what I know of others, hope that's ok):

Thanks for the enthusiastic response. I too, thought it would be pretty neat if we had enough people to start a team, but we'll see if it gets to that point. Mike and I are both in Culver City. I am not sure how many people we would need to have a decent outing. I am not exactly sure where else to publicize this post other than this particular group. I am open to any other suggestions.

Since I'll be moving within the next few months, I'm not (yet) going to worry too much about the location especially since I'm using to having to drive around LA for the meetups (unless you start picking OC and its really 1.5 hrs to get there) - my only real concern will be if I have a car to come to the outing :)

Okay, I've kicked the ball around with my kids, but I've never been on a team. However I REALLY need to get more exercise, so I am interested if you think the Drupal team will have room for rank amateurs.

Hey guys, I've just recently joined the community as well as I moved to LA.
Have you ever got together for a game?
If anyone is still interested, there are a lot of pickup games in Los Feliz and Little Armenia, to name a few places (just I live nearby).

We can just check out http://trytopic.com to see what's currently happenning there, find a court suitable for anyone and go from there?

Don't know a lot of folks in LA yet, so would appreciate any response :)
