This first meeting is an experiment to see if there is interest. We can also discuss format at the meeting itself.

Unable to attend
I would be interested in attending SFV/Burbank meetups, but I can never make it on a Monday night. Other evenings (like Wed or Thu) would be best for me. Also avoiding the 2nd week would be good (because of several other meetings that occur that week).
Please consider other time frame.
Hi, I am new to this group.
I'd love to attend a Burbank meetup, but I cannot make Monday night due to a ChiGong (KungFu) commitment same time every week.
I do have an interesting project involving somewhat differing idea of user/member privilege assign-type on drupal OG, so I'd love to come to this meetup.
Would you consider other time frame on this meetup? My Weds and Thurs nights are free.

Hm. Monday is the only night that I can do (I also have Kung Fu obligations on the other nights of the week, jennandy75). It is also the only night, other than Friday, that doesn't already have local-area meetups.
If popular demand is for another night, however, then you should do what is best for the largest group of people. ahimsauzi, that would remove me from co-organizing this with you. Someone else might step up to help out. Let me know if you'd prefer to cancel, keep it on Monday, move it to another day and remove me, or...?
Also, we set this for the third week, not the second. Would you prefer the first or forth, instead?

For the month of September
For the month of September Mondays is the only available night for me as well. Can we plan on keeping the original date and discuss with those who will attend? realEuph and jennandy75 we will certainly factor your vote.
Monday's in Burbank
I would recommend going with rainbreaw's original suggestion. She has taken the time to locate space and date, and that counts for a lot. In the future if a different day of the week (not Mon or Tue) could be arranged, I would plan on attending. If not, I will read about the meetings.
Concurring on Monday
Thank you for consideration for me. I'd try my best to get to this study group. First meeting was on 09-16, the fourth Monday of Sep; is this going to be the fourth Monday of every month?
Third Monday
This is currently set for the third Monday of September. We were thinking it could be the third Monday of every month, but that is not set in stone. We will discuss as a group on 9/16 and see what makes the most sense long term.
This is currently an experiment :) My hope is that it stays very casual and is an opportunity for those attending to role up our sleeves and help each other with our real-world Drupal puzzles/problems/questions.

We had a great meeting last Monday. Thank you to all who came!
We kept it very casual, but discussed some neat tools:
Fences
Editable Views
Stylizer and SauceLabs.net, both of which have uses for testing
Drush aliases
Dekyll (Drupal on Jekyll, for static page output of a Drupal site)
We discussed the format of the meetup, and decided that we will split the meetup into two parts. For the first hour, we will discuss challenges that we are facing in our real projects, and help each other find solutions. For the second hour, we will work together to build a Drupal 8 site. We don't know what the site will be yet, nor does it ever have to be real, but it will give us the opportunity to learn from each other's working styles and test the boundaries of Drupal 8 without the restrictions of working on a client site.
We also discussed meeting date, and the third Monday of each month seems to be a generally good time.
Our next meeting
Unfortunately, our next meeting would fall on October 21, just before BADcamp! i'm already going to be on my way north by then, as I need to get to the bay area early.
