Proposed Meeting for Sunday June 24th

This date is the last Sunday of the month. I think we should host it then. I will mention that I will not be able to attend, as it is my wedding anniversary. I know that a meeting held on that day will be well attended. Also it seems that there is a lot to talk about, and a committee or two to be formed per Gus's and and thund3rbox's thoughts,

I will mention that I have little ability to arrange for speakers (I admit my track record for their appearing is spotty) when I am not attending, but I will try my best for the 24th of June.

I await feedback, and hope to schedule the meeting for the 24th tomorrow.

Just a few ideas for the next meet:

  • possibly we can bribe thund3rbox (pat) to demo this awesome site - http://dead.net/
  • business/consulting - roundtable disscussion? what types of opportunities are people looking for? anyone interested in forming alliances or even starting a firm with other developers and designers? are people looking for collaborators/partners on their own projects or business?

personally, i'm interested in all of the above. would love to hear more from people thinking along the same lines.

i like the second point gus mentions but i'll be out of town, plan to make the next one especially if this is a topic or sidebar, still finding it hard to even find folks thru paid jobs postings, steve

FYI, the projector facility is booked that day

There's a PaperVision 3D (Flash) course going on that day, so we won't be able to use the projector facility this time around.

Also, would id be good to run a poll of what works best for group meet-ups (weekday vs. weekends)? I mention this because the facility has most trainings scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays.

Where should we meet for this June 24th meeting?
