Really? $250/day is steep? That's like $30/hr. plus there's the classroom overhead.

"Steep" is relative to the
"Steep" is relative to the person and to their experience. For example, for $500 I'd prefer paying for the lullabots class that I can have with me at anytime. Laura is a great teacher, but $500 is a bit much. (at least for me)

Seriously, MySQL and PHP training always run $400-1500 per day. This is not steep.

We would do a training on these subjects for much less than this
We are the Drupal kings, and if there are five of you who would like to attend, we will provide such a class for $100 at our location in downtown LA, if there are more, we will do it for less; if there are 25, $500 would include accommodations at the Crown Plaza hotel in Ventura for two nights, surf camp for recreation including all gear and training, and the weekend training.
