Hi there,

So I've been reviewing this topic for the past week and I need someone to connect the dots for me. I have been using Image module with, Image Assist and Wysiwyg/tinyMCE for awhile. While I love the ability to allow my users to create image content nodes on the fly when creating a blog or story and insert it inline, I would love more of the image processing functionality that Imagecache offers; heard some of that is written into D7 core. I would also like the ability to allow those users to tag the image with taxonomy for use in the galleries that we use on the site

I am on 6.19 and have installed Imagecache, CCK, Imagefield, Insert, Image resize, and Image Browser to set up a very similar process of node creation with attaching and image and inserting it into a node on the fly (thanks @BTMash). My problem is that I cannot figure out how to change the process and allow the user to create an image node ( Image Assist module) that uses taxonomy for future filtering in galleries during the creation process of a non image content type.

I understand the concept of using Imagecache with an Image content type I create and assign an imagefield, but I do not understand how to create non-image type nodes and allow Image node creation with taxonomy during the same process.

I know people must have crossed this bridge. Any help is greatly appreciated!
