PIRETS for the People!

Finally, at long last, PIRETS, the premiere RETS listing import module for Drupal (that I know of), is available to the public at large. Check out its project page on Drupal.org.

This release coincides with the launching of PIRETS.info, a site intended to be the community and development hub for all things PIRETS, in much the same way Ubercart has Ubercart.org.

Working on a RETS module...

First I should admit I am a realtor and not a programmer. Wordpress has a ton of solutions(more coming out daily) for real estate and currently Drupal has none. Not a single working D6 RETS module that is Open Source. Let me just say there is a ton of business out there in the real estate industry. If the Drupal community could come up with a flexible solution there is a lot of opportunity.

Real Estate How to?

Hi,

I've built several real estate sites in Joomla and Wordpress. Each one has it's pros & cons and I thought I would look into Drupal for a different real estate project

But in researching I'm finding little in the way real estate resources for Drupal.

As is often the case, it appears as though people have found solutions, but are unwilling to post how their progress was made.

I hope more people become involved in this group to share development tips & tricks.

-Jason

RDF and Real Estate

I am interested in building RDFa features into a number of real estate sites I have worked on. I have a pre-release module that will bridge drupal and MLSpin.com IDX data using property node type. I have been looking for existing namespaces or ontologies, alongs the lines of foaf and dc that would categories real estate or listings. If there is not an existing namespace, then I am interested getting it started. Has anyone found, built or published on?

VieleRETS + Node Import

Hi folks! Well I have recently had tremendous success in importing extracted data from VieleRETS to Drupal nodes. Thanks to the amazing Node Import module, I was also able to pull the geographical latitude and longitude fields into Location module's fields and images into imagefield module's fields. I'm still learning the nuances of the Node Import modules, so I will be trying to learn how to update existing listings and remove expired listings in an automated fashion.

PIRETS

I first mentioned the Precision Intermedia RETS module in this thread. Basically, it's a module which can fetch real estate listings via RETS and import them into a site as standard Drupal nodes. Since Ferndale Real Estate has gone live, PIRETS gone through a great amount of refactoring and updating, so much so that I now call it PIRETS 3.

Virtual Tours & Other Drupal Real Estate Goodies

I am building a site for our Real Estate Firm and have not really found anything I like yet for virtual tours.
What do you all use for building virtual tours? Were going to have video and photos so it needs to be flexible.

Property Listings Website: Mashup vs Ubercart

I am building a real estate website which needs to email property inquires to agents.

Requirements:
-Users want to inquire about several properties at once, so a cart or flagged list is needed.
-Only one of the agents on the list of inquired properties should be emailed (A property has only one agent).

Workflow:
-User adds several listings to their list.
-User provides contact details and submits the list
-An agent from one of the properties is emailed (to save a customer from dealing with multiple agents).

Feedback on a custom contact form

Looking for some help/ideas on a custom contact form. Webform displays a token %title to pass, what i'm assuming is, the node title. However, it dosn't seem to be working correctly. I've posted a support question on the project page. So i'm looking to pass either the node title or node url of a webform that I have embedded in a block on said node.

Has anyone acheived passing custom tokens/arguments in a webform? Even further any luck passing custom cck fields in a webform or just a standard node that dosn't get published but e-mail via actions/triggers?

Any help would be appreciated.

Mapping

Hello everyone,

I haven't done much in these groups as of yet, just been hangin' out and watching how things get done, and learning. And man there's a lot of learning a person can do just by watching the threads.

I'm wondering what you guys find the best solution to be for maps in d6. Right now I'm using Gmap, and I'm sure I haven't used it to it's full potential yet, but I'd like to be able to put up the little clouds w/ notations, like you have when you use google maps online.

Thanks for any input,
Scott McKinnis
