Drupal 8 has revitalized my personal interest in development and rapidly increased the speed of my deployments. But... it took a lot of learning to get there. The infamous "Drupal learning curve" may bend even steeper for some with the move to OOP in core.

Busco tutoriales o información para migrar de Drupal 7 a Drupal 8, aún sin éxito. Lo poco que encuentro me lleva a utilizar Migrate Module o el UpGrade de Drupal 8, pero no hay testimonios de migración exitosa. Quien preguntarles si aún hay que esperar o es posible hacerlo sin problemas.

This month Hector Iribarne (@hectoriribarne (http://iribarne.com) presented "Getting Started with Drupal 8." The presentation covered the following topics:

(Stretching the definition of the "core" group a bit here, but this is important to Drupal 8, so hopefully this is ok. :))

Now that Drupal 8.0.0 is nearing its final release, the next task in front of the Drupal community is porting ALL the contributed projects! Luckily, this effort is very much underway, but the faster the majority of big modules are at least usable (ideally with stable releases), the faster Drupal 8 adoption will take off.

We are looking for a training consultant to provide local training in English for Drupal 8.

We prefer to do it in our offices and hire a person to come 1/2 day per week for maybe 6-8 weeks.

Hey there, Drupaleros!

In case you didn't hear, Drupal 8.0.0-rc1 has been released!

If you've been waiting to try it out, now's a good time to start your engines. There are a few critical issues left to fix, but there aren't any known issues that are serious enough to prevent you from building a new website.

Wanted announce our Drupal Security Guide here. We've just updated it with information about Drupal 8.

This document has had contributions from lots of folks, but is still certainly a work in progress. That being said, there are over 65 pages worth of information about almost all aspects of Drupal security.
