Wait no longer, we've started posting videos of the presentations from DrupalCamp Austin 2009. There are two ways to find the videos:
- The DrupalCamp Austin 2009 album on Vimeo
- They are also being embedded on the individual session pages
Austin Newbies' Boot Camp for the Busy
Just a note to let folks know that The Austin Drupal Newbies will be kicking off their first meeting on Feburary 18th at Tech Ranch Austin.
Based on feedback from members, from polls and conversations, we will be taking a "Leisurely Boot Camp" approach to Drupal...

Application being developed by www.disasteraccountability.org. Decision was made last minute to go with Drupal. 10 developers worked through the weekend to get all content types, design comps, main site css and navigation done. There are tons of small things that could be knocked out by Drupal developers very quickly. Having lots of trouble finding Drupal folks who can commit even an hour or two between now and Thursday. This project has real promise to improve effectiveness of relief efforts in Haiti and future disasters.

At last week's Mangia meetup, I raised this question well after we had broken into individual discussions. The people around me thought it was a great idea and asked if I would volunteer.
Well, I would, except that I have no webcam or mike (other than the ones built into my MacBook) and no experience with setting up a webcast. Oh, and because I get off work fairly late, I'm rarely at the meetups on time, and I'm never early.

Drinks and Drupal - Wed 6th at Triumph Cafe
I'll be hosting a get together for Austin drupalistas on Wed, Jan 6.
No presentations, just an opportunity to hang out with your fellow drupalistas.
Since folks are scattered all over town, and it seems to be a good central location,
I've decided to host Drinks and Drupal at Triumph Cafe.
Here's the facebook event page:

Hope you can make it!

North Austin Meeting
A north meeting is a great idea, but keep in mind that because of traffic, no one who lives or works south of Lady Bird Lake is likely to attend any weeknight meeting that starts before 7:30 p.m.
Perhaps two meetings or alternating locations?

Hello my fellow Austinites & a Happy New Year to you!
I'm currently the "Manager" of the Austin group but, like all good things, the gig is over & it's time to hand it over to someone else.
So...
Is anyone interested in taking over the Austin group as its official "Manager"? Please let me know by posting a reply here.
Thank you!
Walt
Drive to drupal camp austin
I was curious if anyone from NC / SC / East coast was interested or heading out to Drupal Camp Austin? It's only $40 to attend 2 days next weekend, but the trip is about 19 hours for us.
Would anyone be interested in saving some money and car pooling down and back? I would love to go but don't have a reliable vehicle to make the trip. I live in Asheville, NC.
