Looking for a flexible CRM suited to nonprofit membership organizations
My employer is currently looking at CRMs to act as a membership database for our organization. We are a non-profit, membership organization. I am most familiar with CiviCRM and although I like that it is geared towards non-profits and not sales organizations, I'm not sure if it is the best choice for us in terms of other functionality.
Some of the key features we're looking for:
- The ability to generate a report of incomplete or out-of-date fields for contacts so we can solicit focused updates from contacts
Gulhaken - sprida sociala verktyg till frivilligvärlden
Hej
dublincycling.ie uses Drupal
The new drupal based website for the Dublin Cycling Campaign has just been launched.
http://www.dublincycling.ie/
All feedback is very welcome and if you happen to be interested, the next open meeting is 7pm, Monday 14th September, 2009 in the Smock Alley Café, Temple Bar, Dublin 2. They'll also be sharing a stand with a number of cycling groups at the Electric Picnic in the Global Green area if anyone is passing.
Huge thanks to Stella who answered a considerable number of questions when development was beginning and to the drupal community at large.

I, like many Drupalers (I imagine), maintain a number of sites for non-profits... some for pay, some for free. And I'm in Boston, the non-profit capital of the world (maybe?!) . ANyway, anyone who feels called to service or wants to dip toes in this (perhaps paying, perhaps volunteer) pool of work, I just got notice from Idealist.org that they are organizing a service week with Mozilla. Details below.

Trellon is beginning work on a new book about building effective social networks and social media platforms using Drupal. We are looking for an organization that would be interesed in having us build out a social networking platform for them to build stronger relationships with their constituents. All we ask in return is that you allow us to use the platform as the example site for our book. You can read more details below.

This might be of interest for Drupal developers who build sites for nonprofits.
Thanks and hope to see you there.
(BTW -- I'm including this post in the "Drupal for Good" group too, in case those of you outside the Philly area might want to put together a similar event in your area)
Thanks and Happy New Year

Anyone who is offering a link for PayPal donations can probably answer this question.
What type of PayPal account should we set up for our church?
Personal, Business, or is there one specific to non-profits?
Thanks!

The Public Press www.public-press.org is a concept for the next-generation daily newspaper. We're organizing a group of journalists, technologist and nonprofit managers to organize a new newsroom for the San Francisco Bay Area that would produce a Web site, daily print newspaper and collaborations with nonprofit news-gathering organizations locally and nationally. We've built a simple Drupal 6 site that we will be growing in the coming weeks and months, and we plan to start publishing on the Web using this platform.

Hi folks. I've volunteered to implement a new website for a local non-profit [1] using Drupal and CiviCRM, including community forums, a custom event calendar, donations, fund raising support, etc. I'm looking to share experiences & advice with others using the same platform. Is there a group of Seattle-based non profit Drupal site developers already out there? Are there others doing similar work who are interested in brainstorming together, perhaps co-working, or sharing experiences online? Please drop me a line.
