Our mission is to connect Drupal users in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, North Carolina and surrounding areas. We get together monthly for presentations, site demonstrations, and hack nights. Our goal is to help new Drupal users get up to speed, foster the development of existing Drupal designers and Developers, and contribute to the larger Drupal community. The Research Triangle has a big concentration of technical folks, universities, and start-ups and we want to expose as many people as possible to Drupal and all that it offers.

Read morePayPal stalling out Ubercart?
On our newspaper website, we've been using Ubercart and PayPal successfully together for almost a year -- and now we've hit a snag that I can't find a way to solve.
A website visitor used an eCheck on PayPal to pay for an online product (a birthday ad) purchased through our Ubercart shopping cart. The eCheck won't clear until some time Monday (March 21).
Every Ubercart/PayPal order placed after that has cleared PayPal -- but the status in Ubercart for each of those orders is still "Pending."

I'm new to the Drupal Community, but have been learning a ton by reading other discussions, books, etc. I'm from the Charlotte,NC area and was wondering if there was anyone in this group that was relatively close to the Charlotte area? I'm looking to see if there is one or a few individuals close to the area that would be interested in being a "mentor" to me. All i'm looking for is someone who would be willing to show me things outside of what i'm reading in the books or threads and help explain things. Is there anyone here that is interested?

Is there a way to make the Primary menu to expand down and then left, instead of right? I want the menu on the right side of the page, and the sub-menu items to drop down and expand to the left so that they don't wrap back on top of themselves. On this page, admin/build/themes/settings/Fusion sub-theme, I have the primary menu as active, and under Fusion theme settings "Enable primary menu as dropdown" is selected.

Read moreDrupal and FOAF vocabularies
Hello,
I was interested in creating FOAF files or profiles for users of my site(s) that use Drupal. I would like advice and suggestions on the types of modules I would need to make this happen. I am assuming one is the RDF module. I guess I would need the external vocabulary importer.
1) What other modules might be needed?
2) What would be needed to have drupal save a foaf.rdf file when a person enters their information into the forms? Would this be how one might do this, have drupal create or update a foaf.rdf file when a user enters information of content type FOAF?
Gallery2 and Drupal 6.20
Does anyone use the Gallery Module from Drupal and Gallery2 as an embedded program?
I am having troubles with getting clean URLs to work I have tried a number of ways of implementing it, but when I get it "working" it breaks all my navigation menus and blocks.
Read moreThe Continuing Quest for Repeating Events
I am on a continuing road to allow users to efficiently create repeating events. The use case is a site dedicated to unplugged gamers in the community (think board games, RPGs, card games, etc.) at tuga.unpluggedgaming.org I've recently invited some of the main people in the community to start using it. I have to think the issue I'm posting below has come up for anyone creating any kind of calendaring event system, so hopefully there are some answers out there and/or this might help others as well.
Read moreIs any module able to provide "add to my calendar" link in a date node
Hi, there
I am working on a project here, part of it is about date & calendar modules.
I created a date content type with a date field, used it to publish event node.
Then I hope I can add a field on this type, which can export the event information in every node into Google Calendar and ical format.
I am wondering if there is any module can do this job, or any way can realize this idea.
Thanks

This isn't necessarily a Drupal-centric question, but this is the only online community I am part of...
So, I have a client who wants to sell t-shirts and sports apparel on his website. To clarify, it has his company logo on it, so it's likely from a local screen print type shop. He's a 2 employee company, and I don't want supporting this to become a headache for me. I'd like to implement the solution and be hands off.
So, any recommendations?
Read moreCan I combine CiviEvent registration with Drupal registration?
I have online registration set up for a conference using CiviEvent. I want people to register as Drupal users, so I'm not allowing anonymous registrations -- "register for events" is not checked for anonymous but is for authenticated. If someone goes to the registration form without logging in, they get the message:
You do not have permission to register for this event
Fatal error Filefield?
Once again I am out of my element, sorry. I have a D6.20 site that when I try to edit or add content of any type, except Page, I get this error:

Is it best to install Drupal at root level (public_html)?
Or is it better to create a Drupal folder (public_html/Drupal) and install there.
Are there pros and cons, warnings... or does it simply not matter?
Also, are there ramifications regarding multisite install or subdomains?
As always, thanks so much for your insights.

Read moremollom not blocking registration from Russian bots?
Hi, I have used mollom to stop russian bots from registering on my drupal 6.20 site effectively since I set it up.
(backstory)
I also had memcached running with the drupal memcache module. For some reason anonymous users were not seeing new content, only if you logged in could you see new content. I resolved that issue by stopping the memcached service, thinking that was enough to stop drupal from trying to use memcached (hey anonymous users could see new content finally)
update.php
I have posted this problem previously but have still not resolved it. I just got off the phone with my hosting provider (ugh, yes it's go daddy) and they were of no help whatsoever. When I am in site building/modules and click on update.php all I get is a blank screen, no error message, just a blank screen. When this problem first arose I fooled with stuff, I don't actually remember what but nothing resolved it. Since then I have reinstalled drupal 6.20 and am again faced with the same situation.

Can anyone shed some light on this error message I'm getting.

My earlier problem with update.php I could never resolve so I did a fresh reinstall of 6.20. I have fckeditor showing in my module root but when trying to edit a page I have no menu. When I go to admin/site configuration/fckeditor I get that error message.
