Our mission is to connect Drupal users in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, North Carolina and surrounding areas. We get together monthly for presentations, site demonstrations, and hack nights. Our goal is to help new Drupal users get up to speed, foster the development of existing Drupal designers and Developers, and contribute to the larger Drupal community. The Research Triangle has a big concentration of technical folks, universities, and start-ups and we want to expose as many people as possible to Drupal and all that it offers.

Read moreproblems going from 6.20 to 6.22
What am I missing. It should be a simple update from 6.20 to 6.22. However, I have tried numerous times via ftp after following all the normal procedures. After I run update.php, and put everything back online, etc, I check available updates and it is still telling me I have 6.20 installed and there are updates available. I'm confused....... What am I not doing?
Read moreTime Saving Tip for Renaming Themes
Below is the URL to the blog I mentioned at last night's TriDUG meetup. This saved me a lot of time in when I rename (duplicated) a theme because I did not have to manually redefine all the blocks and Skinr settings. Works great with Fusion subthemes.
Some notes:
Obviously, make sure to change "newtheme" and "oldtheme" parts of these statements to match your needs.
You will still have copy the theme directory to a new name, rename/edit the .info file and change theme name references in your template.php file.

Great meetup last night! Met some new folks and had some interesting conversations. Thanks for your work on the logos, Tim and a good presentation on AHAH/AJAX, Allen. Even if you did scare me off trying to work with it in D6!
Just wanted to confirm that I am happy to do a presentation on theming (general how to build a theme, using base themes, etc.) at one of our upcoming meetups. I'm not sure I'll be able to participate in the IRC planning session, but if not, feel free to put me on the agenda for the July meetup if you need presenters.

I am looking for a way to generate the code needed to provide a way to view selected web pages on a portable device without a continuous internet connection.
After looking at a number of possibilities, the offline capabilities of html5 seem to be the best solution. This would require the creation of a manifest file for the pages. The specification for this file and its use are available here:

Tonight at the TriDUG MeetUp, I presented new variations of ideas for a logo for our Drupal Meetup Group. Please see the attached presentation and leave your comments below. Since this is the next to final round, please limit your comments to verbal questions, concerns, and comments. This will allow for smoother development so that the next phase will truly be the last phase. :)

Hi all,
I have a client in Pittsboro that I built a site for in D6.
I am looking for any freelancers who are accepting clients to take small support requests from this client.
Security updates, new feature requests, etc.
Since I have designed/built the site, I have moved to the West coast and i am working a full time job and do not have time to do support work.
let me know if anyone is interested in new client work.
thanks!

On the lighter side...
After having spent the last few years working almost exclusively with Drupal I'd almost forgotten how ridiculous it can get when dealing with other developers' one-off PHP code.

Say what you will about the community coding standards and code review in general, it's really nice not having to deal with this kind of nonsense on a daily basis.

I was wondering if any of you had used the video subscription service that Lullabot offers now, called found at http://drupalize.me/.
I was thinking of signing up, but just wondering if it is worth it. I read their "Using Drupal" book a while back and found it very informative. I have never seen any of their DVD videos they produced, which I assume that is where most of the videon on the site comes from.
If you have any other videos on Drupal you would recommend, I would like to hear as well.

Read moreSVN Structure
Hi,
I am setting up a new Drupal site. As far as SVN goes I am looking at the best practices. how existing SVN structures have been modeled. I am thinking of just having the sites folder in the SVN but am open to suggestions. Also how did you create the branches - Split between two thoughts - One to have each release as a branch and the other create a separate branch for module / theme / scripts / files.
I am looking at various options and looking forward for some advice.
Thanks!
