Thanks to the leadership of Allie Micka and R.J. Steinert, the Snowball initiative to provide tools for coordinating and funding Drupal initiatives is coming to the Boston area this long weekend for its first code sprint.
We will focus on building a working alpha so we have something real to share for feedback, to refine, and to build process, message, and governance around.
We'll be working on Friday November 11th, Saturday the 12th, and Sunday the 13th starting at 10am on Friday and no later than that on the weekend days in Somerville, Massachusetts.
If you can dive into helping build this, contact rjstatic or contact mlncn for directions to the venue.

Ridesharing to/from Drupal Camp Montreal?
Hi folks,
I'm trying to avoid a boring long drive to and from Northampton, MA (where I live). Is anyone here going to Montreal for DrupalCamp? Maybe we can post our dates and places here to see if there are carpooling options.
Thanks,
Jacob
Upper Valley meetup for Aug
Hello! I haven't scheduled a meetup for this month because I am swamped with work and haven't had much chance to think about anything else lately. We can either take a break for August, or someone else can jump in and schedule the meetup this month. Either way is fine with me! See you in September...

Meetup Notes - Upper Valley - 6/29/2011
At this UVDUG meetup, Rob (rbayliss) presented on the Features module.
Features packs up configurations from different modules and creates a new module that can be installed on other Drupal sites. Some of the things that are exportable are Views, panels, CCK/Fields, Taxonomy, Feeds, Rules, User Roles & permissions. Many core configurations and those from contributed modules can be packaged into Features.

Hey, FOlks.
I'm moving to St Johnsbury VT in August - about an hour and 15 minutes north of you. I'd like to attend your next meetup, or host one myself in September.
I'd be glad to offer a presentation on using Open Atrium for project management, or on JCarousel for slideshows, or on Views with Nodequeues, or on fine-tuning notifications. These are all things I've been enjoying lately.
