Drupal powers 27.3% of .EDU sites!

Congratulations people! We're way out ahead of the other CMSs out there right now in the .edu domain space. This is great news for all of us who build sites in higher education! Keep up the great work everyone and make sure to spread the word! If trends are anything like I've witnessed @ Penn State, adoption from distributions is about to ramp up dramatically in the coming months / years.

D7 Commerce Catalog woes

I'm creating a Commerce site in D7. I'm having trouble figuring out how to make the products I've created show up! I can't even get it to show up in the menu. The documentation in Commerce has been helpful up to this point. I'm just not getting it. Has anyone out there done a D7 Commerce site yet who could help me?

Here is what I've done so far:
Created a content type called Book. Created a couple taxonomy vocabularies, added the terms
Created a product type called Book
Added the fields
Added two "Term reference" fields for the taxonomy fields
Added some Books in for testing.

Need a Good Drupal Partner - Please help if you can

I reach out to the group because I could really use the help of a strong Drupal developer and am not sure where to turn (looking for help). We've got a popular outdoors based community site, but have had some bad luck with developers. One went out of business mid project, the other left gaps in their work and quality. I really need the help of somone who is strong to help us take our site to the next left. We are a startup for the most part, funds are limited, but can pay anywhere from $20-$30/hr (our next project is about 80-120 hrs).

Carpooling to Cities DrupalCamp?

I'd like to go to DrupalCamp if I can but I'm having trouble with the logistics. One big hurdle is that I am not good at driving in big cities. Is there anyone that's anywhere near Holmen, WI (La Crosse) that would let me hitch a ride for gas money? If you're closer to La Crosse than the Cities but don't want that extra drive down, I'd be willing to drive up to meet you at your starting point as long as there's a place I could park for the duration.

My other hurdle is child care so this may be moot but I'm trying to work on both issues in tandem. :)

Thanks,

Michelle

Drupal Support and Hosting Query

We're seriously considering moving our website to Drupal and were wondering what other companies are using for support and hosting. Do
you use the same company for both? Are there good companies (preferably local to the Madison, WI area) that could assist us with
the setup and migration effort necessary for this conversion? Thanks.

Sign up for the Drupalcon Chicago Sprint Bus!

It's been mentioned and discussed informally, but we finally have confirmed details for the Sprint-to-Drupalcon Bus. We're ready for signups and looking forward to an awesome journey with great people! Sign up or Sponsor to get your seat today (hurry though - space is limited to 54 seats).

Overview
The Twin Cities Drupal Community is organizing a bus to Drupalcon Chicago. The bus will be part Drupal Sprint (work on docs or modules or code or anything else that you think will help make Drupal better), part socializing (we'll have drinks, snacks and refreshments for all) and part fun! We also believe this to be the world's first mobile Drupal sprint - so jump on board today and you'll be able to tell your grandchildren about it.

WYSIWYG

Greetings all,

I'm finding that the latest release of the WYSIWYG module combined with CK Editor seems to be creating a increasing number of issues related to the tool bar. Was wondering if others were running into simular issues, and if so have they stayed with WYSIWYG module (and fixed the issues) or moved on to other types of solutions.

There are many features I like about WYSIWYG module - but I need a working editor for clients...

Any thoughts would be helpful!

Madison-based biomedical company

Dear Wisconsin Drupal Guys,

Our Madison-based biomedical company has big plans for 2011 and we are looking for help to develop a couple of new websites, B2B tools, and social B2C tools in our favorite open source CMS.

I'm new to the Madison area and don't really have the lay of the land in terms of the depth and breadth of available Drupal resources. In addition to killer coders, we are looking for UI gurus, great graphic designers, and people who are on the cutting edge of social.

Development shops to suggest for RFP

Greetings all,

I'm helping a professional society draft up a RFP for what appears to be a sizable project that would fit well with a shop of 2 to 3 folks with a well blended mix of development and client relation skill sets. Since I'm a Drupal lover I'd like to suggest shops that focus on providing Drupal solutions but the project could be done in a number of different technologies based on their initial requirements.
