This group is for anyone who uses Drupal and lives in or near the State of Wisconsin, USA.
Let's get together and support each other's various efforts to use and improve this great content management and social networking system.
WI August Meet-up
Hi everyone. I'm looking to see if there is interest in a Monthly meet-up. At the Drupal Camp WI there was talk of having regular monthly meetings again.
Let's meet next Wednesday (14th) from 1-3pm at Union South. Sort of an informal meet-up where people can come when they want and we can work through different problems. I'll be there the entire time and I'll will be hacking my way through Organic Groups & SASS. I'll post a message here to let people know where I'm sitting.

The group I work with on campus is taking on a Website Conversion from a custom built .aspx site to Drupal 7. We are not a Drupal shop ( I have been preaching Drupal but adoption is slow). We would like someone who has experience with a similar project to come in and give a rough idea of what the project framework might look like. This could probably just be a one time meeting laying out an overview of what it would look like. If there is someone who might be uniquely suited to this in the UW system you could pm me their name as well.
Thank you for your time,
Patrick Rogne

Drupal camp WI planning meeting is dominating right now.....
We are looking for the drupalistas out there to register if you haven't already
http://drupalcampwi.com
and more importantly to propose a session.
http://www.drupalcampwi.com/program/sessions
You will not be asked to give a talk or lead a discussion, but we are looking for a wide range or ideas and issues that you and me and us are facing using drupal. Be as precise or vague as you would like. This will help us plan who to possibly bring to town to talk about said subject matter .....

Hey Everybody!
I'm trying to get together a Wisconsin contingent to go to the Drupal 8 sprint in Oak Park, a suburb of Chicago:
http://www.meetup.com/vopdug/events/99459162/
Is anyone else interested in coming? If so, maybe we could carpool or otherwise go down together?
If I don't find anyone, I'll probably bus or train (from Milwaukee) - but even that is more fun as a group. ;-))
Please comment here and let me know!
Regards,
David.
Image gallery doesn't show up in IE
I just created a really simple photo album in D6. It shows up very nicely in Firefox and Chrome, but no images in IE. Does anyone have any obvious, easy fixes? (hopefully?)

PDX is the 23rd largest city in the U.S, but we drink more locally brewed beer than any city in the world (trust us, we're drinking right now).
I don't even know how this is even close to true. I say we take this as a call to arms.
Read moreUW (or any state) employee working freelance for another UW department
I'm wondering if anyone out there works in any state position (UW or otherwise) AND does web work on the side, for another UW department. If so, are you paid through regular payroll, or as a contractor with your business name and LLC? If you are paid as a contractor, please help me out with how the department you do freelance for was able to set that up.
Thanks in advance - I really appreciate your assistance.

NE Wisconsin Meetup?
Now that I've moved to Green Bay I'm wondering if there are any other group members in this part of the state that would be interested in a meetup.
So, anyone out there? Bueller?
Read moreIs there interest in monthly or bi-monthly Drupal-WI events?
Are there other people besides myself who would be interested in events in either Milwaukee, Madison, or someplace half-way between. Perhaps monthly or bi-monthly?
Is it simply that the organizers of these events in the past got too busy to keep doing it, or was the problem lack of interest/attendees? Or were we also lacking people to speak on topics, and contribute to it being a rich experience?

Hey everybody. Following on the last message poking at when this group might meet again, I am hoping somebody from our very civilized group of people might respond here since in person may be a bit out yet. Hopefully the reason there aren't meetings is because it's summer and there was a lot of volunteer time doing the DrupalCamp.
