Ubercart

Hi,

Does anyone know if ubercart has the functionality to be able to handle dynamic pricing? For example could it handle selling blinds where there is the following scenario:-

1 Where there are different types of blind e.g. roman, roller, venetian etc.
2 Each different type can then have different fabrics e.g. suede, cotton etc.
3 Once the customer has chosen the type and fabric they enter the size they want (width and height).

.... and then once they've entered these attributes a price is shown.

thanks,
nolan.

re: Triggers and Actions

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to do the following action from the following trigger:-

trigger = new content is created for a particular content type
action=the content is emailed to a particular user

at present I can only get it to send an email with a generic message e.g. "new content has been created".

thanks,
nolan.

Does anyone have any experience of using Forms in Drupal. I wish to create a form where people register their details e.g. name, add, tel etc. and then when they press submit an email is fired off to an administrator with the details contained in the email.

thks,

How do I pre-populate a node edit form before I render it?

I need to render a partially populated node edit form and have got it working to the point of programmatically creating and submitting the form using drupal_execute() but cannot then see how to render the partially populated form for the user to complete.

Any ideas please?

Adding a hook_node_operation to a view using VBO

Hi,
I'm newish to Drupal (thanks Steve for putting me in touch with this group) and wonder whether anyone can point me in the right direction please?

I want to create a view that allows you to select a number of nodes using checkboxes (I have VBO) then allows entry of an email recipient(s) using a text box on the same page as the view. A submit button then validates the email address then calls a custom function I will write that builds one email with a list of node details in the body.

City selection for DrupalCon 2010 still wide open

Please note that the list of cities from http://groups.drupal.org/node/26241 (as per the BoF in Paris) is just a list of possible suggestions. Please see the draft document that has been proposed for city selection guidelines: http://groups.drupal.org/node/27246

The goal is to publish that document at the end of this week (after incorporating feedback from the community) and to start receiving city proposals immediately after that. Since we need to have recommendations to give to the Drupal Association by October 15 the proposal phase will have to be short. The proposal phase will probably end October 1. After that we will have the proposals reviewed by the events agency to gather their feedback in time for the October 15 deadline.

If you want DrupalCon in your city/country in 2010 please review the document and add your feedback!

re: site hosting

Hi,

I am currently hosting my new site with lunarpages. The company and the server my site is hosted on are based in California. It seems to be running fairly slowly. Does anyone know that if I hosted it on a UK server it would run quicker, and if so can anyone recommend a hosting company.

thks,
nolan.

Thanks

Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions over the past few months (especially Steve P). My site went live a couple of days ago and can be found at www.korufoundation.org . It is my first drupal site and I am very pleased with it, as is the client.

The site contains features such as Google maps, Gallery 2, Views and Panels. If anyone needs any advice on these subjects then please contact me.

cheers,
nolan.

html newsletters

Hi,

I am having problems getting my html newlsetters configured and working. I am using Drupal 6 and have installed both simplenews and mime mail modules. However, there isnt an official release of the mime mail module for version 6 yet. Instead it is a development snapshot. Could it be that, that is causing the problem?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Nolan.

I was wondering if anyone knows of an answer to my latest Drupal quandary.

I have a content type which includes the user as a field and a CCK date field. I want to send the user an email on the CCK date to remind them to do something.

I have spent quite a while searching and reading the forums but not found a solution as yet, does anyone know how I can do this?

Thanks for reading this problem
