I thought I'd create this thread as a place to put feedback about DrupalBootCamp UIUC and see what that will mean for our May BU DrupalBootCamp.

I thought the UIUC Drupal event was very informative. I liked that each speaker had a short stint on their topic, and things moved along at a good pace. Starting off with your presentation provided a nice segue into the rest of the morning topics.

In an effort to compile some great resources for our Drupal Boot Camp Champaign participants, we want you to help us tag your favorite Drupal-related resources on del.icio.us

Where [topic] is one of the following:

Anyone up for a web application framework rumble?

We're throwing an open source conference at University of Illinois at Chicago called Flourish (http://www.flourishconf.com). As one of the attractions at the event, we're going to have a Web Application Framework Rumble. I was thinking that maybe some of the Chicago hackers here might want to take part in this.

In my continuing effort to turn all of you into librarians, I've got a new screencast up at my site with the awesome title, 'Creating a Library Database Page with Drupal':

It's for a talk I'm giving at the end of the month. So have a look and tell me what you think.

1. Do not attend CDMUG events unless you have RSVP'd @ drupal.meetup.com/1 . If you are not on the RSVP list, DO NOT attend the event. I have been nice about this in the past, but too many people took advantage. onShore can barley hold 15 people. Any additional spaces are reserved for onShore employees. People who have not RSVP'd will be turned away.

2. Do not RSVP for events you will not attend. Save room for dedicated Drupalers.

Are there people still interested in a Central IL DUG meet up in Peoria this month? It would need to be near the end of this month (After DrupalCampWI, at least) but I can arrange for a room at Bradley University if there's interest.

Steven Merrill and I were thinking that beyond just socializing we could cover more in-depth on the talk we're giving at DrupalCampWI about Druplash and Druplex (Drupal-powered Flash and Flex). Post back here with preferred times/dates and anything specific you want to hear about (or better yet, talk about).

Video games are also always an option.

I just thought I'd post a notice here that we're going to have a program downstate on the changes coming in CCK in Drupal 6.x. It will be in Normal on Thursday, November 29 (see http://groups.drupal.org/node/7103). It's a bit of a drive for an evening meeting, but it looks like we may have at least one person coming from Chicago now, and I know this is a topic many people are interested in, so I thought I'd mention it in the Chicago group.
