Varnish Page Cache + Pressflow 6 IP Based Roles
So we use page level caching on our Pressflow 6 multisite installation and some of the sites use a module for IP based role assignment.
There is an issue with using page caching and IP based role assignment in which a user will get a cached page from Varnish despite having an IP that will give them an authenticated role.

I am going crazy because of this problem ... Become and you get a lot for no reason ...
I have this problem since several months have been circumvented by deleting www .... Noted after several days of normal operation of the website ... But in recent days has become a continuously and, more disturbingly ... when I add new node or edit node ... I normally logged I can add the node and after that I have to log-in again
I have had this problem and prevented me from entering the admin panel until I updated to latest version 6.22 but still happened to me

Which Linux flavour to choose?

Found VPS provider for aegir instalation (up to 15 D6-D7 sites, 1/2 of them corporate brochure type), it will be openVZ with guaranteed 2048Mb RAM, mysql+php+apc+apache+smtp, and other basic services, maybe Apache Solr. Memcahed/Nginx/Varnish is a possibility if performance benefits over simple Boost module+APC are worth pain having another service on same vps.

GlusterFS and Drupal 7 horizontal scaling
Prehaps someone can help me or at least point me in the right direction. If one needed to scale up a couple apache servers but share the docroot using a synchonized (common source) it seems glusterfs is a good solution. I have set up an experimental Glusterfs replicated system (2 instances, each both master and client) with linux (ubuntu), apache and php on them. Got Glusterfs working fine, however I am a little unclear how to "link" /var/www to the glusterfs client mount point (e.g. /mnt/point). Not sure how to bring drupal and Glusterfs together using "best practices."

I'm in the process of moving a couple of sites to an Amazon ec2 microinstance. For the little traffic these sites get the microinstance will be suitable.
I am optimizing performance, and am using mod_fastcgi, php-fpm, and apc; along with varnish.
I have setup a separate fpm pool for each site, but they both appear to share the same apc instance, likely as apc is attached to the fpm process and not the pool.
Is there a method of using a separate apc instance per fpm pool? Or, can someone suggest a setup that is as performant, but which would allow for separate apc instances per site?

varnish + multiple webheads = files/(css/*.css|js/*.js) missing
I have this weird issue and I'm not sure if it's me who's doing something wrong or I'm just missing something but maybe some of you can guide me a little bit here...
i setup a varnish server, within varnish itself i created 2 backends and using director i'm able to do round robin to my webheads. That parts seems to be working fine as I'm able to bring one of my webheads down and the other one can serve content to varnish and vice verse.

MySQL optimization with uc_order_products

I am working on site which has 13528 records in uc_order_products (from the ubercart 6 module).
Nid count is 5611.
To get the most purchased products, I have a query like below:
