The Legal work and entity setup is taking more time than expected by we have been making tiny steps and progress towards the same. Once the Legal stage is completed we will need all your support to make Drupal Association India a role model for Regional Associations!

Help Us Modernize the Admin UI of Drupal
A group of members of the community have started a new Initiative (https://www.drupal.org/about/strategic-initiatives/admin-ui-js), to provide a re-imagined content authoring experience and site administration experience in Drupal, built on top of modern JavaScript foundations.
We would like to gather information from real people who work with Drupal every day to make sure we are answering their needs. We’ve put together this survey, and we’d like to ask you to help us spread the word, by sending it to content editors.

It gives me great pleasure to announce that we are working on a Drupal Association initiative for India. Some of you might be aware that we had this discussion a couple of years back after which those discussions were shelved for the time being. With the recent initiatives from Drupal Association to build support for the global community at a regional level, we think it is a good idea to restart our efforts to regroup and plan for a regional chapter.

Drupal is popular in India in Tier - 1 cities like Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore while in other cities it is catching traction. Drupal Communities in these cities have 1000-3000 members while there is massive potential in Tier - 2, 3 cities like Chandigarh, Goa, Gurgaon, Kolkata, etc.
DrupalCamp Goa was first DrupalCamp of Goa. Goa being the city of a million people and has some of the premier colleges like IIT, NIT, BITS Pilani Goa, Goa University, we wanted to build an active Drupal Community.
