The monthly Inland Empire Drupal meetup will be held on Thursday, May 12 from 7-9pm. This is a free event and everyone is invited - we have a large venue with plenty of space so if you're in the area please join us! If you'd like to follow along just bring your laptop / charger.
Location
HMC Architects - 3546 Concours Street, Ontario, CA 91764
We'll be meeting in the 1st floor training room. Come in the main entrance and look for the dark metal stairs - the training room is right below them (see interior photo below).

Agenda
- User to user support (install issues & misc Drupal discussions)
- Regional news / jobs
- Presentation: Why Hooks? by Kevin Kaland (and Oliver Seldman in spirit)
- Lightning talks (things that matter to you - questions about Drupal, modules you've seen, tech that's important, etc)
Why Hooks?
Drupal's hook system is one of its most powerful features. Get introduced to what a hook looks like, why you should understand them, and why you should use them. Learn how not to kill kittens (and what this means).
This presentation is aimed at beginning Drupal developers and those who want to have a better conceptual view of how Drupal is built as a piece of software.
Please RSVP with the "sign up" button below so we have an accurate headcount . If you can't make it to this particular IE Drupal event there will be more on the 2nd Thursday of each month - see the IE Drupal homepage for details on what will be covered prior to the meetup.

I think our average is in the 6-8 range, lowest was 5 and highest was 12 (IIRC). Our first meeting was in December so we're still a fairly new group.
If you're ever up in the IE we'd love to have you share with the group!

Hey folks - if you got anything out of the Fill PDF lightning talk, I'd love to hear what and what you liked hearing the most. I'm considering presenting something longer on it at Drupal Camp Sacramento Area, and your input is valuable both for attendees to get relevant information and for me to be able to "sell" the presentation in a way that will make them feel they will get the aforementioned relevant information.
It seems like it's a module that could go far if more people used it and drove its development, but it hasn't really been marketed much per se. It's about time.
