I can do a 15 minute talk on writing user stories, and acceptance tests. I will start with a brief intro to Agile Development in general.

That's great! This is a really big piece that our community hasn't been focusing on at the meetups. Can we add some of this to the bootcamp curriculum?

Want to join droplabs carpool to Sensis tonight

johnnkirk's picture

I'd like to park at DropLabs and catch the carpool to Sensis for the Drupal Meetup this evening. Possible?

Will you be getting to the event early enough for the happy hour at Takami?

I called the United Valet Parking mentioned, and found out the parking is CASH ONLY for the evening rate -- and that the rate is $6 NOT $5.

Be ready to carpool to Sensis at 4:30pm!

christefano's picture

Sure, we can carpool. I have a quick meeting near the venue at 5pm and plan to leave Droplabs no later than 4:30pm.

Thanks for pointing out the pricing change at United Valet! I've updated the parking info at

carpooling today

johnnkirk's picture

Good! I'll plan to be at droplabs by 4 PM.

Looking at your sigfile, I don't think I can afford to have any of my burritos analysed! Maybe we can think of some other basis for interaction.

All aboard…

The Droplabs shuttle is leaving for happy hour at Takami in 30 minutes.

Minimal example of using Features?

dankegel's picture

I'm planning to be there!

What I'm interested in at the moment:
I'm looking for a minimal example of how to use Features properly.
Whether or not I find one, I'd like to work up an example of how to
use Features to express integrating an event calendar into a particular

Dan Kegel? Right on! Haven't

Found a few

dankegel's picture

Dunno why I couldn't find these before, but today I googled for
drupal 7 features tutorial
again, and found a few, e.g.

Text tutorials

"An Introduction to the Drupal Features Module"

Video tutorials

3 "Daily dose of Drupal", episodes 2 through 7 (watch first one on youtube to get to others):

4 "Level Up Tuts - Drupal Tutorials #66 - Introduction To Features"

5 "Acquia Drupal 7 Tutorial: Features Module"

I must have had bad search-fu that week. (In my defense, at least one of those was created since then...)

Agile development seems like a good topic

Are we going to have a webex or such for this meeting?

You got it. I posted the meeting ID

christefano's picture

You got it. I posted the meeting ID and URL below:

While the food and the view at Takami are spectacular, the service has been veeeerrrry slooooow in the past, so I'll be sure to "crack the whip" and encourage everyone at happy hour to be at Sensis in time for the meetup at 7pm.

pkosenko's picture

I can't make it down there today. Is it going to be online with webex?

WebEx meeting ID and URL

Sure, use the following URL or meeting ID to join the meeting:

Hello Drupalero's! I'm looking to fill a post for a b/e Drupal developer! (Tell your friends!)

The specifications of what I need can found here:

This is a CONTRACT post.

Much appreciated.

GREAT Meetup

pcoleman's picture

Like most of our meetings too much information, if we just had 6 hours we could get everything done.

Stew's presentation on Agile was on the mark. Christo's presentation on Features was full of meat.

Well worth the time. I may find some more time to go downtown rather than just over webex.

hodad's picture

Probably a silly question. I tried to make the webex meeting but got hung up.
Is there a replay option out there anywhere?

We didn't record everything,

christefano's picture

We didn't record everything, like the news and announcements and the Features walkthrough. Stew's presentation on Agile development was recorded, though!

Here's a link to the ARF file of his presentation, which needs the WebEx Network Recording Player:

Meanwhile, I'll look for my notes and see if I can reconstruct an overview for the meetup for those who weren't able to attend.
