Purpose

We think Drupal is the best damned open source content management system period and we're not the only ones. Faced with a bigger demand for Drupal developers than we can supply (and cloning technology still falling short) the Los Angeles Drupal Users Group has decided to throw a free community training session to improve the level of Drupal Development in Los Angeles.

Tracks

Developers: The technical track -Here we'll cover custom module creation, site optimization, getting started in Drupal for estrablished developers, what's next for Drupal 6,etc.
Designers: Theming, theming, theming, best practices and examples, some overlap with Dev. track.
Site Admins (Non-Technical): The more accessible side of Drupal. Site setup and configuration, user roles, adding modules, content creation. Beginners welcome!

Schedule is not set this weekend, but we're hoping to get that settled this weekend. FYI, we'll be running from about 10am on Saturday until 5-6pm on Saturday, then hopefully a party, and then from 10am until about 1-2 pm on Sunday.

Specifically on Sunday, available to help make a presentation. I'd like to do something on Drupal deployment solutions, and I think I could adequately cover DAST, but I was wondering if there would be a Workhabit person that could cover Autopilot for that presentation, and perhaps someone from Bryght that could cover Hostmaster, or anyone that feels they could talk about those projects. Hells yea we'll be there, and we should have at least three people. I'll be there, Earnest will be there (souvient22), and Aaron Stewart should be down, as well as a new guy who just joined the team (Domenic). So four people?

We have all three authors of autopilot, and I think Roland and I can talk to you about Hostmaster (I maintain some installs, and have done installations, as has Aaron).

I'll email ya.
