The Echo Park meetup has moved downtown and the August 17 meetup is announced at http://groups.drupal.org/node/83809
I love Echo Park and our friends at Digital Playspace, but the venue is just too small to accommodate the influx that we're expecting post-DrupalCamp LA. I hope to produce a Drupal training or some other type of event there in the future.
