PCM Scheduling Rules for Individual, Series, and Filler Programs
Portland Community Media, in partnership with Denver Open Media, has created documents explaining the rules of scheduling Producer> Project> Programs. The document includes rules for series programs, scheduled on a quarterly basis, as well as individual programs that get scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
I have also included rules on how PCM schedules filler programs.
The focus of this discussion is:
- to communicate current scheduling rules and guidelines
- to discuss other methods of annual, quarterly or daily scheduling rules used by other media centers
How can Drupal get great new contrib themes?
The community wants great new themes for Drupal. How do we get designers and themers to create them? Someone discussed a contest but may designers are oppsed to that.
A suggestion: Call for volunteers to participate in a team effort where they will be grouped with others (perhaps 2 designers paired with 2 themers/UI specialists) and have them come up with a team name which will also be the name of their theme.
Give them a deadline and some publicity on d.o. with their bios and photos or portfolio links.

This post acts as a reference to drupal theming.
Basically there is one choice as far as theming is concerned, you should choose whether you will start from scratch or you will install a 'ready' theme and customize it a bit to your preferences. This part will cover the second choice while the first choice will be covered in part 2. I must state again that this tutorial will act as a reference and only.
I am personally fond of choosing a theme where basically only the layout structure exists in its css.I am aware of two such themes.

Hi Everyone,
We’ve almost completed the demo and documentation websites for the Layout Studio development theme. This brings us one step closer to having it officially released on drupal.org. Have a look, and please feel free to send me your comments if you see any spelling mistakes or errors.
You can also leave comments on the documentation site.
Until we get approved as a Drupal Project, you can download the theme on the documentation site.
Thanks,
Rene
"Out of the box" Theme suggestions for district website
I am still learning Drupal but wanted to ping the education community for some suggestions on themes you would recommend for a district website. Either something you have used or saw that you thought would fit well. I don't mind having to do some customization, etc. Thanks!

Just wanted to announce the availability of a Sharepoint-clone theme for Drupal, which I imagine could be quite suitable for educational websites et.c. It's available here The page itself is currently using the theme.
The same skin is ported to MediaWiki too, so you can have a completely integrated look-and-feel between Drupal and MediaWiki (+ Sharepoint of course). The MediaWiki counterpart can at the moment be seen here.

Looking for Good Resources for Drupal 6 Themes
Hey Theme Gurus,
I'm a theme newbie looking for good how-to resources for the theme engine in Drupal 6. I'm just starting to learn PHP, but I've been web programming with other modern OO languages for the past 10 years. I've hacked around with some of the themes freely available on drupal.org to try to learn it myself, but it's proving to be a little overwhelming.
Searching for Modules and Themes with certain characteristics
Drupal has many (thousands of) modules and themes that make it an attractive platfrom to use. But often researching modules and themes takes longer than to build them into a solution. Here are a few suggestions for how the new d.o could help people find modules and themes more quickly:
- A list of modules by category, where you get a page with all the modules in that category (not like the current category list with a pager). Please retain the current listing of all modules - a text search in the browse through this page is often the best way to find things.
