Use Flickr for image hosting for Media Gallery upload?
The Media module image gallery uploader is great: robust, multiple batch uploading.
However I would like to ask if a project is being considered whereby Flickr is used as the hosting of the images?
This would provide 2 benefits:
1) publishing content to a wider audience on more platforms without duplicate effort i.e. to the site and to flickr at the same time
2) reduced bandwidth and filespace used on the hosting - particularly for budget and shared hosting
Pointers to displaying Flickr Sets in Drupal 7
I've got Media installed, it's working fine with galleries, & I enabled media_flickr. I can upload flickr images & sets, but I can't find documentation on how to display them. In a gallery, they do not work. How can I show Flickr sets on my website? This is quite urgent, so quick pointers are more appreciated than a longer answer later. Thanks in advance!

I am trying to add the capability for a group of people in an organization to easily upload photos and have them post to a gallery or slideshow on the sight. The Flickr module has been recommended, but it appears that out of the box this module works with one Flickr account only.

I have 3 requirements for publishing my own photos on my own site
1) multiple batch uploading
2) integration with an external photo sharing network to widen my presence on the web i.e. so that my content will get seen elsewhere which will draw people to my site. The photos themselves would either hosted on the external site and referenced by my site OR a copy is on my site and on the external site
3) low resolution versions, but not too low available on the site, with ubercart integration should people wish to buy a hires version - expecting occasional trade here at best but would like to learn about this aspect.

Would someone please refresh me what the issues were with existing module(s) to produce a Flickr gallery for FBWC? Was it bandwidth? Size of a free Flickr account..?

Problems with Flickr API key
I've added the flickr API key and Secret to my OpenPublish website on my dev server, but afterwards, I still get several error messages:
"You do not yet have a Flickr API key set. You will need to apply for a Flickr API key and enter your key at the settings administration page before Flickr images may be displayed."
I've double checked and the key is present and matches the flickr Apps Garden page. I've cleared the cache, and I still get the error message.
Any ideas??
Read moreEmbedded Media Field
I've at first attempted use of the Feeds API along with the Embedded Media Field module to create the feeds I needed, but then I discovered that support was essentially being dropped in favor the Feeds Module.
It seems a lot less intuitive now to do the same thing, particularly after following the tutorial for the previous module at http://www.zivtech.com/blog/module-mashup-creating-a-feed-embedded-video...
Has anyone successfully used the Embedded Media Field along with the Feeds Module to pull in YouTube and Flickr feeds.

Drupaltherapy has been on the back burner for a good couple of months while I prepared to get hitched on September 12, 2009. It was a nice affair, held at an outdoor education and retreat center equipped with canoes, kayaks, archery, zip lines, kickball fields, square dances, and a whole bunch of other things that make weekend weddings fun for family and friends.
What is making us very happy right now is our use of Drupal as the platform for our wedding website and the use of some specific modules that are doing some cool things for us, too.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this as this has a lot to do with Flickr's API, but hopefully someone can help and may be I can help some others too.
Basically, I'm trying to streamline a process, so I can tag and comment of my photos in Picasa, upload to Flickr, have them pulled back down onto my Drupal blog, then I pick some and group them together into a blog entry.
This is how far I've gotten:
