This month we will be talking about using jQuery Mobile to build a custom Drupal theme and Drupal 7 FAPI's #states which allow you to do some dynamic behaviors in a form without writing a line of javascript. Come to the Ninjitsu Web Development office on the 5th floor.

Intros are supposed to be captivating but there really is no way to make "Drupal LA Governance meeting on Saturday, July 30th @ 4pm" sound exciting. The good news is that it will be fun, it will be a learning experience and it will be a way for members to really contribute to the community.

We will have our weekly workshop on Drupal 7 this Wednesday exploring the commerce module. Last week we got all current on Drupal7 beta 2, the commerce module and all the dependent modules. Some of the updates worked with drush others we had to download the traditional way. This week we will add some products and explore views 3.

Hi Everybody,
We had rain last Wednesday so we are starting on Wednesday October 13th at 7pm. I guess it is save to say that we meet every Wednesday unless it rains or there is a general LA Drupal meeting going on that day.
We now have a Drupal 7 beta release and the critical issues are down to 7 today.
Our first presentation will be by Christefano. The title is "Download your site from Drupal Gardens. Add some modules that are not available on Drupal Gardens yet. Views, Rules, and Commerce. Install everything locally and see where the pitfalls are"

The Drupal 7 critical issues are now below 20. Even there is no beta release yet it seams we have a very stable alpha. Starting October 6th 2010 we will start a weekly Hollywood Drupal workshop (Wednesdays) which will focus on Drupal 7. Like the name says, it's in Hollywood in my back yard.

We are having another LAdrupal.org site build sprint, this time focused on the theme!

At the guidance of Helior and Michael Thorne, we are setting up the site to use Panels and Features, and packaging the views into their own elements so that many people can be involved in theming the site without stepping on each other's toes. This meeting will be the opportunity to get involved, learn what needs to be done, and also have the "what's next" conversation!

This is a working meeting during which we will be taking wireframes, mockups and what we have already built and sprinting to get it live.

The basic setup of the site is nearly complete, including almost all of the content types and necessary modules. Some of us are moving on to building out views and content on the site. We are hoping to finish this meeting with something concrete to show the group at the Jan. 26 ladrupal meetup.
