The format of this meetup is very casual (and round-table), so bring whatever Drupal-related projects you are currently working through, and (if you'd like) some food or beverage to share.

We'll roughly break the meetup up into two parts:

Bring whatever Drupal-related projects you are currently working through, and some food or beverage to share. We can help each other find creative solutions to our challenges and demonstrate new tools/methods we have discovered.

This first meeting is an experiment to see if there is interest. We can also discuss format at the meeting itself.

Accessibility Camp LA takes place Saturday, October 20, 2012 at CSU Northridge's University Student Union (18111 Nordhoff Street). The goal of the day is to provide an open, informal space where attendees will drive the agenda.

p>Come out and learn about using the Workbench Drupal module. If you haven't heard of workbench, it's a suite of modules that provides easier content management for site administrators. We will look at some possible use cases, for example providing an editorial workflow in Drupal (Workbench Moderation) and setting hierarchical permissions across "sections" of your web site (Workbench Access).

After a mouth watering presentation about using Compass/Sass at the LA Drupal meetup in Santa Monica we will get into some of the nitty gritty about using Compass/Sass

Learn about using semantic web technologies with Drupal . We will do a short case study of how using Microformats in Drupal 6 improved SEO. Using Rich snippets and possible ways to markup your data. Also we will talk about some of the semantic web options for D7 and hopefully some of the advanced contrib modules (rdfx, sparql, etc).

Come to the Ninjitsu Web Development office on the 5th floor to learn about using drush, drush make, and custom profiles. Using these tools you can automate sites builds and decrease the work involved in setting up Drupal sites the way you want. Some things we will cover using drush (Yes on Windows too), generating and using make files, developing custom profiles.

Come to the Ninjitsu Web Development office on the 5th floor to learn about using jQuery UI with Drupal 7. Drupal 7 core includes the jQuery UI and I don't see enough Drupal 7 sites taking advantage of the library. Some things we will cover using the library with node templates, in views, and a custom modules.

We've planned a site visit to CSUN (California State University, Northridge) on Thurs. Dec 15th at 3pm, to determine if it will work as the venue for the Drupal Design Camp we're planning for mid-February 2012.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in starting to help organize this event.
