Hi guys, I've got an idea for a module and would like to put it to the community before I start work on it. The sort of feedback I'm after is:

• How useful it would be
• Are there are any existing modules I could use instead to avoid duplicating efforts.
• Would it would be easier to help extend an existing module?
• Potential pitfalls
• Whether or not the idea is crazy, hence why it hasn't been implemented before.

Please correct me if any of the assumptions I have made are incorrect.

I am immensely interested in getting a rock-solid asset management system in place for Drupal 6, and my company is willing to pay for the work involved (my time spent). The purpose of this discussion is to 1) make sure that my assessment of the situation is accurate / common and 2) to make sure that whatever I come up with will be relatively forward-compatible with D7.

All started when I thought "hmm, let´s add a new feature to my site when I upgrade it to Drupal 6.x... image galleries for me and my users aswell".

Aus diesem Grund veranstaltet die Drupal Group Schweiz das 1. Drupal Media Camp. Die zweitägige Veranstaltung richtet sich sowohl an die Drupalcommunity, als auch an interessierte Businessanwender.

This is a first run at the UI from the file uploader from the media sprint in NYC. We are not sure if we want to replace file upload forms on the page or use a popup window for the interface similar to how asset does things. Regardless, this is a multi-tabed element which houses media that the user has created locally or externally, upload and embed forms. Additional tabs are possible but have not been discussed.

Hi, I'm looking to add some admin-supplied video and can not get it to playback smoothly. I don't know much at all about video, so please excuse my awkward terminology and foolish assumptions.

The Drupal:
• 6.4
• JW FLV Media Player 4.1
• Via Filefield + jQuery

The Media:
• High-quality DVD Video
• Half a dozen vids + a dozen audio tracks
• Length is about 4 minutes each

Drewish, there might be an easy way to integrate event repeat w/ PEGevent: each program airing is an event and could be scheduled using the power and wonder of event repeat I think.
