Following all of the stuff at Drupalcon Paris about Drupal moving from a service to a product that is friendly for end users, I was having a discussion with a friend of mine who has used Drupal in the past. He isn't a developer or coder but he's not non-technical, either.

This module implements major features of Slashdot moderation and comment system. I made a few attempts previously with various hacks/modules, but this module is very mature and fully compatible with latest VotingAPI. I have not encountered any issues using this module.

What it does:
Transforms comment controls to Slasdot type (thresholding).
Displays each comment slashdot-type.
Hides comments below threshold. Hidden comments can be uncollapsed by a click.
Provides slashdot moderation system (troll, interesting, insightful, funny, etc).

This module adds a "delete" MENU_LOCAL_TASK to all nodes and removes "delete" button from all node forms. While this module is very simple and may not seem important for a developer, it does provide a significant improvement for content publishers/maintainers, especially to those who are new to Drupal.

Please leave your feedback.

I haven't seen any discussion about Book usability on here yet it's one of the highlighted topics for things that need to be patched in Drupal 7 usability. Does anyone have any thoughts on how Books can be improved. I have a whole module dedicated towards Book usability improvements and while the project as a whole I'm sure implements a bit too much to be rolled into core, it does have a lot of features which make using books in Drupal faster and MUCH more user-friendly thanks to outline designer, thickbox, prepopulate and the ajax modules.

This is a first run at the UI from the file uploader from the media sprint in NYC. We are not sure if we want to replace file upload forms on the page or use a popup window for the interface similar to how asset does things. Regardless, this is a multi-tabed element which houses media that the user has created locally or externally, upload and embed forms. Additional tabs are possible but have not been discussed.

There's a key question in the air about appearance of drupal titles.
The question is if replaced elements if a title/heading (h1) should contain emphasis (em) or no.

In Drupal core are several examples for pro and con. The title appears also as browser title.

I've been working on a project to make the structuring of content easier / more intuitive. The module was called the Outline Designer and now there's a Drupal 6 version out now. Please check out the demo below and let me know what you think. It implements a bunch of usability things I've been seeing thrown around on here as well as introduces some new concepts (like a context menu). It integrates / overrides the admin/content/book interface to add ajax elements such as deletion, add a child, content editing, and renaming.

We just contributed a new module named popup message about improve drupal "Status/Error Message" UI.
We use a javascript box like twitter fox / msn to notice user have new status message coming.

message display at the bottom of page, and count down close button.

For example , when adding a new post, user often ignore top of the message, they would like to scroll down to see what happened. Or when user login/logout to drupal site, they don't really know what they done in last page.
