See details here http://boston2008.drupalcon.org/

Hello, my name is Jordan and I am currently a web designer/developer focusing on project / production management.
I am also Co-Founder of PHUG (PHP Toronto User Group) which is a newly created, vastly growing open source community that caters to both designers and developers.
Currently we hold weekly Monday meetings, hold monthly events promoting ideas and projects, and contribute to many open source projects.
Although we have many projects of our own, we are currently working with organizations like Mozilla, Miro, FlashInTo, and so on.
Pluralism Template Ported to Drupal 6 Theme
After walkah's presentation on Drupal 6 Themeing, I ported and contributed a theme to drupal.org. Some really great information that inspired me to contribute a new theme. I did a relatively detailed write up in the showcase forums.
Thanks James, for the great presentation and answering the question we all had.

I was sent this link
http://guide.conecta.it/ which in turn links to 2 PDF documents produced by FLOSSMETRICs and OpenTTT (Both European Union commissioned bodies).
The first is the FLOSS Guide (2Mb) (cc) FLOSSMETRICS - which is an education paper on FLOSS. Which could give people ideas on how to market FLOSS in general. It even includes a section of FLOSS business models.

Drupal Hosting - Notes from the November 2007 Meetup
Last updated by christefano on Sun, 2011-05-01 23:52
This is intended as a stub wiki page, add to it as you'd like.
(I hope someone took better notes than I at last weeks meeting)
What we as a group value in a hosting provider:
- Consistency
- Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Good documentation of escalation procedures
- 24/7 priority support available
- security is easily auditable
- Performance
- Uptime
- Shell Access
- Management tools (cPanel, etc).
(not all these tools are valued by everyone equally - it depends on how much system administration you prefer to do yourself)

Tonerdrupal2 asked Is there a comprehensive list of Drupal Development Firms?
Well, why don't we, as a group, create one? Lets try to keep it to company name and URL. I think Greater Toronto Area companies would qualify.

Does anyone have a comprehensive list of Toronto-based web design & development firms that offer Drupal services?
Thanks.

Media Center (mc) by Climax Media
Hi Drupalers,
Rob & I created a full flash solution in conjunction with Drupal as the backend.
We thought it would be cool to share this with you guys.
The application is fully flash and includes a photogallery & videogallery.
You could use it to start your online media broadcasting system alongside catchy graphics.

Hamilton Group Created
Hi all,
Just wanted to drop the word that a Hamilton group has been created. I by no means intend to try to split or divert focus from the great discussion and learning that goes on in the Toronto group. I do, however, think that having a group local to Hamilton and area will facilitate meetups which are more convenient for Hamilton / Burlington / Niagara drupallers than the alternative of the hour or longer drive to get to Toronto meetings.
Cheers.
Read moreToronto July Meetup : form_alter for fame and fortune
Based on some discussion on the mailing list, I thought we could spend some time this month looking at the site customization secret weapon : hook_form_alter (and it's _alter relatives). There are some pretty powerful ways you can alter core behaviours without having to hack a single line of core code.
Also, we'd love to see some show and tell, so bring yer best hacks / tricks or design :)
That's not all! July 10th happens to be my 30th birthday, so you're all invited to join us afterwards for drinks an good times. See you then!
