Read moreDrupal 7 Hosting Cookbook
We've been building up a LAMP stack lately based on Ubuntu Server 10.04 to host Drupal 7 in our datacenter. While there are a number of excellent manuals and tutorials out there, we noticed that very few provide a complete guide to building a Drupal-specific hosting environment, from bare metal up, that is suitable for production use. So... we took a whack at writing one: Drupal 7 Hosting Cookbook.
This guide is by no means exhaustive, but we wanted to share our current work with the community in the hope that others might benefit. In turn, we would love input and advice from the experts in the community that would help make this cookbook better. If there's interest, we'd be happy to present on this topic at an upcoming DUG-TO meetup. It might be cool, for example, to do a discussion panel on best practices for Drupal hosting. Thoughts?
Cheers,
Greg

I am not sure if this should go here or on the google spreadsheet.
If we think it's more spreadsheet type material, then I'll move it

Hi all,
My name is Miriam.
You may remember me from the meet-up. I was the woman who works for zinc Roe design?
I'd like to get involved in an organizational capacity with planning DrupalCamp '10.
To that end, I'd like to suggest that only people interested in being organizers should meet before the 31st to do some key things:
1/ Make a budget based on anticipated attendance.
2/ Make a shortlist of venues, and establish who will get in touch with venue to check availability.

Here are the notes from our DrupalCamp Toronto (DCTO) discusssions on Monday night. I've also condensed and included some of the information from our initial meetings in 2009 and Kevin Walsh's previously mentioned spreadsheet. The 2009 notes are worth mentioning because they capture elements of the 2008 DCTO as well as some ideas we had that might be worth repeating.

Drupal hosting proposition
Hello everybody!
Two years ago, I started my own hosting company for Russian Drupal Community with one server.
Right now I have 5 servers, 3 support guys and 2 admins (include myself).
Few month ago I visited our Toronto Drupal meetup , and found that a lot of people has problems with US/CA hosting.
If I helped Russian Community, why I couldn't do the same for our Toronto Drupal Group?
So I am starting to sell my hosting packages for everybody who speak English.
