I built several Drupal sites starting on drupal 4 through 8 and then abandoned ship in 2019 as it just got too complicated. My strength is in branding and design, so I'm hoping to partner up with someone who can help with the complexities of Drupal upgrades. I have a few clients who have come back to me looking for someone who can keep their Drupal site going.

I'm planning the December meetup and was wondering if anyone was interested in doing it holiday potluck style?

The third Thursday in December is the 21st, so I can find a location that allows for food (maybe the Warehouse again) and can plan on bringing cookies and eggnog or something.

Otherwise the main library has a room open, so if we want to keep it simple I'll snag that!

Hey Boise Drupal friends!

So it looks like our usual library locations are booked up for October.

The Library at Hillcrest (5246 W Overland Rd, Boise, ID 83705), however, is available - would people be interested in meeting there, or would folks prefer The Warehouse instead maybe?

Lunch won't be provided this time if we have it at The Warehouse, but it was a cool location with plenty of space, so it seems like a good option anyway.

Let me know which is preferred and I'll get it booked!

In case it's easier for people to see stuff here than as an Event, we've got our next meetup happening a week from today (August 17th)!

It's happening at the Main Boise Library in the Marion Bingham Room on the 3rd floor at 6PM.

we have about 2000 businesses in Pendleton, Oregon, USA

Using lat/lon for address (plus regular address.) reading is 4' in front of door plus have a 2nd door lat/lon field and quick lat/lon map. (great for chow carts.) using blackberry satellite app not using cell tower lat/lon do not have a computer phone, still seeing if the 2 jive.

paying people $1.00 per update/database correction. This one thing changes everything.

Hoping someone smarter than me is willing to take a small job helping me apply the latest security update to a few sites...

I've been using Drupal for over 8 years and while I can normally update Drupal without problems, I have a few installations that I'm having trouble with. They are all working fine on my localhost (WAMP), but when I upload things go wrong. I think there is maybe an issue with the version of PHP or something... but that stuff is a bit beyond me. I'm also thinking it may be an issue with my host. I migrated a few websites and those that migrated are a bit odd.

It sounds like there's at least a few people interested in a starting up the Boise Drupal Users Group up again, and I'm in. I set up a poll for possible times on the first meeting. If you're interested in coming, just fill it out and we'll pick a time that works for the most people.

i live in Halfway, OR across the river. How are we doing on drupal 8? It is off the hook d7 would sit and spin for 6sic on a godaddy shared host D8 loads right up and the quick edit button, go right to the edit and back. Here is our town db out of D8 halfway-or.us . Hope all is well, business always heats up in spring. Talk to Ya soon.

We're looking for someone passionate about wildlife to join our web team at IDFG.

Front end skills and some Drupal experience preferred. Newer sites are Drupal + Bootstrap with a heavy emphasis on web services coming from a variety of sources and tech.

You'll work with our field and research biologists building applications and replacing outdated solutions. Because of the remote nature of our state, field collection apps are via HTML5 offline and native apps. Craft APIs and client-side applications for reporting and analysis by biologists and the public.

The first ever Devsigner Conference is happening in Portland May 23-25, and we'd love to see you there!

Devsigner is a brand new event that will bring together frontend developers and technology-oriented designers and invite them to share their expertise, helping them take frontend development to the next level. We will be using Drupal as an assumed base platform, but since frontend development isn't tied to a particular backend, our audience includes any frontend dev and web-focused designer.

In lieu of having an in-person meetup this month, I'd like to have a discussion about what we'd like the user group to be. I remember a couple years ago when we had ~20-30 people attending regularly. I'd love to get the user group attendance back up to that point, and I'm wondering what would make the user group worthwhile to attend.

In the past, we've had lecture-style meetups. Recently, we've had "everyone get together and eat pizza and talk" meetups.

What would make BDUG a can't-miss event for you?

Some potential attendees at meetings might be transportation limited or just not want to burn the fuel required.

I'll volunteer my GoToMeeting license to host up to 25 participants. One of the participants would be the presenter; the others would be looking at the presenter's screen and we'd all be on a conference call.

Hey everyone,

Are we still interested in getting together for the BDUG meetups? Propeople is opening a Boise office and we'd love to host. When we get all set up, we should be able to accommodate 15-18 people in our conference room, which will be equipped with Apple TV (to display things with Airplay) (or HDMI or maybe VGA if you don't do the whole "Apple" thing).

Are you planning on going to Drupal Camp Utah? We are quickly approaching the event and want to hear more session ideas from the community. Why not propose a session on something you'd like to share?
