Any Drupal freelancers in the Boise area
I built several Drupal sites starting on drupal 4 through 8 and then abandoned ship in 2019 as it just got too complicated. My strength is in branding and design, so I'm hoping to partner up with someone who can help with the complexities of Drupal upgrades. I have a few clients who have come back to me looking for someone who can keep their Drupal site going.

Hey all,
Our BDUG meeting is on the books! As discussed, this month's meeting will take place at Realms Arcade in Boise :-)
Because Realms Arcade isn't open on Thursdays, except for private events, we'll be having the meetup on Wednesday this month.
Families are welcome to join, and everyone will be responsible for their own admission :-)
Details are below:

December BDUG (Boise Drupal User Group) Meetup
Hey all!
December's meetup has been scheduled, and the details are below. Given the close proximity to the holidays, we may not have a high turnout - but for those of you that can make it, we'll have little holiday treat bags available for fun :-)
Stay warm out there, and hope to see everyone next week!
Location: Main Library, Marion Bingham Room, 3rd Floor
Date: Thursday, December 21, 2023
Time: 6:00pm - 7:30pm
December Meetup - holiday potluck style?
Hey all!
I'm planning the December meetup and was wondering if anyone was interested in doing it holiday potluck style?
The third Thursday in December is the 21st, so I can find a location that allows for food (maybe the Warehouse again) and can plan on bringing cookies and eggnog or something.
Otherwise the main library has a room open, so if we want to keep it simple I'll snag that!
Thanks for the input, and look forward to seeing everyone next month :-)

Hello BDUG,
November's meetup is on the books! Apologies again for the last minute time change on October's meetup - I'll try to make sure that doesn't happen, as I understand it makes it hard for folks to show up.
This coming month we're back at the library for an evening meetup - this time at the Library! at Hillcrest.
We'll catch up, chat Drupal, and perhaps discuss whether we want to have a holiday party for the Boise Drupal Users Group, and if yes, what that might look like :-)
Details are below, I hope folks can make it!

Happy October Boise Drupallers!
We've got our next meetup on the books, and though we don't have anything 'formal' planned, I expect there will still be plenty of interesting conversation and good times to be had at this more open forum.
Like last month, we'll be meeting at The Warehouse Food Hall at noon, but unlike last month, food will not be provided (though there will be more lunch & learns in the future!)
The details are below, and if anyone has a specific topic they'd like to discuss, just pop it into a comment and I'll add it to the agenda :)

Hey Boise Drupal friends!
So it looks like our usual library locations are booked up for October.
The Library at Hillcrest (5246 W Overland Rd, Boise, ID 83705), however, is available - would people be interested in meeting there, or would folks prefer The Warehouse instead maybe?
Lunch won't be provided this time if we have it at The Warehouse, but it was a cool location with plenty of space, so it seems like a good option anyway.
Let me know which is preferred and I'll get it booked!
Thanks :-)

Boise Drupal Meetup - July
Hello Boise Drupallers!
We had a few people turn out to last month's Drupal meetup. As a group, we decided to continue monthly meetups going forward, so on the 3rd Thursday of every month we'll get together at a meeting place somewhere in the Boise area to discuss all things Drupal.
This month's meeting will be on July 20th at 6pm MST at the Library! at Collister, in the Catalpa Room (so at the same location as June's meeting).
The address for that is:
4724 W State St., Boise, ID 83703
Boise Drupal Meetups
Is anyone interested in having in-person meetups in Boise again? I'd be happy to manage/organize these meetups moving forward if people are interested!
Looking through some old posts in this group, it looks like the meetings used to happen once/month on the second Thursday of each month, would that cadence still work for people?
If yes, would people be interested in starting in June? It would be cool to discuss people's takeaways from DrupalCon.

This group is for area Drupal developers to meet and discuss current contrib work. The focus of this group will be around giving back to the Drupal community via code, documentation, and issue queue management.
All are welcome. Some aid may be provided for those just getting started with Drupal. This help might be available but should not be relied upon since developers who attend may be working with a specific focus or project in mind.

Hoping someone smarter than me is willing to take a small job helping me apply the latest security update to a few sites...
I've been using Drupal for over 8 years and while I can normally update Drupal without problems, I have a few installations that I'm having trouble with. They are all working fine on my localhost (WAMP), but when I upload things go wrong. I think there is maybe an issue with the version of PHP or something... but that stuff is a bit beyond me. I'm also thinking it may be an issue with my host. I migrated a few websites and those that migrated are a bit odd.

Drupal User Group?
Hiya folks
I just moved here from Portland where there is a thriving Drupal User Group Community, they have a monthly meetup for Drupalists/Drupalistas to get together, share stories, collaborate, teach each other tips and tricks, and it is a really great time. Would anyone here have any interest in attending/working with me to get the ball rolling for starting up a monthly, or even a one time meetup? It would be great to meet the people here working in Drupal. I find that this is also a great place for Drupal newbies to come and learn/get involved as well.

Hello. I work for the Department of Correction and our website is using Drupal 6. We have the Boost module installed to deal with the issues we had with queries taking too long and site slow-downs due to traffic. For the past few months we have been running out of disk space on the server and it turns out the cache_menu table is HUGE! In lieu of having an in-person meetup this month, I'd like to have a discussion about what we'd like the user group to be. I remember a couple years ago when we had ~20-30 people attending regularly. I'd love to get the user group attendance back up to that point, and I'm wondering what would make the user group worthwhile to attend.
In the past, we've had lecture-style meetups. Recently, we've had "everyone get together and eat pizza and talk" meetups.
What would make BDUG a can't-miss event for you?
