Don’t forget our great visiting speakers and sprinters joining us in NYC: Earl Miles (keynote), chx, Karen Stevenson, Ken Rickard, Matt Cheney, Jess M, Tim Plunkett, Jay Batson, Peter Wolanin, Mark Sonnabaum, Ben Jeavons, Jen Lampton, scor, mitchell, Dave & Robert from Four Kitchens, and some great locals.

We’re excited to share more details about our training activities:

On Thursday July 19, we’ve got a great Drupal Boot Camp lined up for all Drupal New-comers & Beginners. The morning training is for newbies who are totally new to web site building, CMS tools and Drupal. Local Drupal devs will help get you setup with your own Drupal site and ready for the rest of the day. The afternoon is geared towards beginners, focused on site building and helping you learn how to use Drupal. Our afternoon training will be led by some great local trainers, including Ted Bowman (from Six Mile Tech), Dave Nugent (from), Alex Ross from (NBC Universal) and Ray Saltini from (Blink Reaction). By the end of Thursday you’ll understand the major Drupal concepts/jargon and be ready for an awesome weekend at NYC Camp! Sign-up here: http://nyccamp.org/bootcamp

On Friday July 20, we have a great day of training for decision makers. The training has been developed by OwnSourcing and will be led by several authors of the Definitive Guide to Drupal 7, including Kay VanValkenburgh (from OwnSourcing) and Benjamin Melancon (from Agaric), and will build in part on the DGD7 book (which attendees should have). This training will be for people who make key decisions for Drupal development teams or are thinking about switching to Drupal— such as lead developers, site architects and project managers. Sign-up here: http://nyccamp.org/decision-maker-training

The training will be followed up by session track tags, so attendees will know what sessions to attend on Saturday. We’re very grateful the above trainers for leading and participating. We’re also especially grateful to Blink Reaction for sponsoring the Drupal Training Summit at NYC Camp, Blink Reaction’s support has helped to make the event possible by provide funding for our training facilities and refreshments.

The fun doesn’t stop there either, use your newfound skills and contribute to our barn raising projects and great sprints on Sunday afternoon too, including: Core Sprint, Views in Core Sprint, Date in Core and Twig.
