Hey NYC Drupal Champs! Time to brush off your Drupal chops because NYCCamp (pronounced Nice Camp) is coming back this summer, July 12th through 15th! This year we will be moving our 4 day Drupal mini-conference to New York University, with trainings on Friday, sessions on Saturday, sprints and barn-raising on Sunday and summits on Monday. Whether you are a Drupal newbie or a Drupal genius, this event promises to have something for everyone!
Be sure to follow @NYCCampDrupal on twitter to stay up to date on all the latest NYCCamp news! Planning has just started and we need your help to make this camp Rock! financal statment?
maybe I missed it, but I did check back frequently -- was there ever a financial review/summary distributed after the last nyc camp event?
NYCCamp financials
Hey Eric,
The financial summary will be available on the NYCCamp website once finalized along with the annual report summarizing the event, which should be shortly after tax time. In the interim, note that final budget was largely in keeping with what we published last year (see http://2012.nyccamp.org/budget) and that this year's event like last year's event will be 100% free, 100% non-profit and 100% volunteer run (http://2012.nyccamp.org/finances).
Thanks for your patience Eric!
Annie
thanks for the reply
I am a bit disappointed that a simple report was not released soon after the event, like has been the tradition for nyc drupal camps for years (and I believe as was promised by nyc camp organizers during the discussions last year).
Will this report be as transparent and detailed as our prior drupalcamp reports or will it be less informative and more like the IRS form 990 that non-profits have to fill out each year (which does not provide the same level of itemization, transparency or accountability as what has been the tradition for earlier nyc drupal events)?
Reporting Details
Eric - Sorry to have disappointed and for the delay, but we've being doing the best we can with a volunteer crew. As per the approach outlined on the finances page (http://2012.nyccamp.org/finances), the report will be quite detailed/transparent (particularly given the CPA review) and it will be on par with the past DCNYC reports (see: http://bit.ly/11OoMXk) and more detailed than a 990 form.
