Presentation 2

"Up and Sprinting with Git" by Aaron N. Brock

Git is a version control system which lets you confidently make changes without fear of losing work while enabling collaboration with others. It’s designed to handle everything from small to very large projects with speed and efficiency. Git is vital for rapid development (or any development really!). In this talk we’ll be covering key concepts and best practices of git, so whether you’re brand new to git or you use it everyday, there should be something you can take away from this.

Bio:
Aaron is a DevOps Engineer who began his journey programming at age 12. He has worked with a wide variety of companies and industries. As a teenager, he honed his backend development skills working for the largest minecraft server in the world. Aaron co-founded a cloud gaming startup with some Princeton classmates and brought the lessons learned from that experience to his work at telecom. He automated the deep learning pipeline for Soterea, an autonomous bus company in Tianjin, China, before joining the DevOps consultancy Contino where he helps transform the technologies used by some of the largest financial service companies in the world.
