We received a specific request for help with an arrayshift-based distribution site. This is really cool, as Markus and I have been working with just such a site for one of our clients over the past several months and so this is right up our alley (you never know where a clinic question may come from).
Our good friends at RyanIsHungry asked for help with homesteadingwtf.com. Specifically, they want to (1) add video (2) add email notifications and (3) theme the site. Wow! Now that's quite a list.
For popular video hosting services, we suggest starting with emfield for (1). Many folks like watcher for (2).
The emfield and watcher aspects should be straight-forward as we've used both modules several times and know their strengths and weaknesses. We'll write up and post some brief notes on using those for Jay and Ryanne (and others) to use on Wednesday.
The last question is wide open and related to the call for help on the arrayshift project page. So let's start a discussion about that now to get ready for Wednesday. Anyone out there using the arrayshift distribution and have experience theming such a site? If so, please chime in. Check out the arrayshift issue queue to see some of the discussions. They have started to wane a bit, but this could be just the thing to breath a little life into the project.
So the agenda is set for Wednesday: arrayshift enhancements. For the moment, we are planning to meet at the Coffee Connection off Venice on Centinela.
This is not a presentation, this is just friends helping friends with Drupal questions. Come and join us if you are interested in this topic or have your own questions that you want help with. People willing to help others with their Drupal questions also needed. This is a free event.

Agreed. The Drupal Cafe meetings we've had at Coffee Connection have been great. Plus, their courtyard is lovely and their wifi is better than the free Open Mar Vista connection, which is what the Venice Grind offers a few door down. My only complaint is that Coffee Connection closes earlier than I'd like.
Start at 6pm?
I'll try and stop by early after a client meeting and get there by 6pm in case others want to meetup and go over some questions. Let me know if anyone is interested in meeting at 6pm. Otherwise, I'll grab a bite to eat first; folks are welcome to join in on that too. Any good deli's still around in that area? :)
