Open Atrium

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.
This group should probably have more organizers. See documentation on this recommendation.

This group is to relate experiences with Open Atrium and share ideas about this install profile along with understanding and leveraging Spaces, Features, and Contexts for making it work better for you.

Talk with other community members here, in the issue queue on Community.OpenAtrium.com and on IRC in the #open_atrium channel on freenode.net.

If you're just getting started, you might find the documentation pages useful.

Error on install, which results in not showing Open Atrium

Hi all,

First of all I'd like to say that I hope this is the right place to ask my question.

og_strict_filter

Hia, just notifying you that we (that is, my colleague) have made a small helper module called Strict filter for organic groups (og_strict_filter) - this module ensures that only nodes and terms that belong to the active group are shown. We use Spaces & Features outside of Open Atrium, and this helps us to only list books and book outlines that belong to the active group, as well as core blocks like "recent comments" only lists comments belonging to nodes belonging to that group.

Public parts

Hello I want to use openatrium for our non-profit young organization. We will make groups of interest or work each about a separate topic. We would also like to have a normal website. Does atrium plays well both roles?

What I have in mind is every group to have its blog, and chosen articles from these blogs to be visible in the public site. Also some parts of the calendar, the whole wiki, etc. Doe atrium has these kind of modifications, or else do you think is easy to get my way in atrium's source code?

thanx in advance
Kostas

Chatroom/Shout-box in OA

I have recently installed OA 'out of the box' and have setup groups, users, permission, etc.

For some reason the 'shout box' is not appearing/operable. The only place it is evident is in the 'customize layout' screen. What have I not installed right?

OA + arabic (i18n) = ?

Hi folks-

First, I love OA. Thank you to everyone involved! I can't seem to find any forum for Open Atrium. Is this the place to ask questions?

1) I have a critical need for Arabic users to use OA. I read that the problem is with i18n module. Does anyone know when this will be fixed? I need this asap.

I had a couple other questions. Maybe it's best to post them separately, but just in case...

Message box at the top of this group needs updating.

The message box at the top of this group needs to be updated since the link to github is no longer the right place to go for issues. Shouldn't it be https://community.openatrium.com/home now?

Using rules to send a reminder (alarm) to the assignee of a case and instead of the author of a node

I am using Rules to send a reminder for cases in open atriums case tracker based on a date field. I came quite far (http://drupal.org/node/652158), but I'm having trouble sending the mail to the right user. Right now, the mail goes to the author of the node. I would like it to go the assigned user for that case however. The assignee is not a content field, but a custom value created by the case tracker module. In views I can use case tracker fields, but the case tracker context doesn't show up in the rules argument data type list.

Integrating Open Atrium Intranet with Corporate Drupal Website

Hi,

We're using Drupal for our corporate website, and we're thinking about using Open Atrium for our Intranet. I want to streamline our processes and avoid double entry as much as possible.

These are the use cases:

  1. Our corporate website has login / pass fields in which our partners or employees can login. If our partners or employees login, then they are routed to Open Atrium.

Please clarify the Open Atrium copyright notices.

Can you reply to the questions raised in these 2 posts:
--> http://drupal.org/open-atrium#comment-1865868
--> http://drupal.org/open-atrium#comment-1925140

to wit...

"What exactly are you claiming copyright on?"

and

"If we modify and redistribute (commercially or not) - do we need to retain your original copyright tag?"

Thank you.

second 6.x-2.0-alpha chatroom release is up!

the second alpha of the drupal 6 development branch of the chatroom module is ready to go. this is a big update. many, many bugs fixed from 6.x-2.0-alpha1, and some nice new features. this branch now has more features than the 6.x-1.0 branch, and although its a long way from stable, is now a lot less likely to kill your kittens.

this is ready for wider testing, but not yet for production use, and there no upgrade path from the 6.x-1.0 branch yet.

    OpenAtrium for Designers

    Hello!

I was excited about OpenAtrium and immediately set it up for use with my clients' projects. My intent was to set up case-tracking, keep track of project milestones and timeline, post mockups and create site content for projects.

I have tried out Basecamp and did not like it, and certainly did not want to spend the money on something I didn't like.

Immediate need for developer experienced with Open Atrium

Hello, Due to events beyond anyone's control, the developer we were working with will not be able to complete our project within our (insanely) short timeline. We need someone experienced with Open Atrium who can help us tweak a number of things to fit our requirements (and we're willing to tweak our wireframes to find a good, functioning compromise).

Open Atrium & Gradebook Module for E-learning Feature

Firstly congrats to the Open Atrium team its a really impressive product and I think is going to be the basis for many effective communities... Thank you for your hard work.
As we have seen with DrupalEd , organic groups make great classrooms.

I think a really useful open atrium install profile that could be an e-learning system out of the box ... would be a combination of DrupalED and Open Atrium

I am planning to do some work to try and see what I can can do with creating some education orientated features for Open Atrium around the following modules

Build group features of modules that does not use views?

Hia, sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm struggling to build (OG) features of modules that does not use Views, as I do not know how to filter for Space without Views.. With Views you select the spaces filter, and set for instance "show nothing" when node is not in space.

But, what if the feature I wish to build does not use Views? Am I out of luck?
