Online Community Builders Group inching closer to fruition.
Hi all. I created a minimalist Drupal site to serve as a place to discuss the agenda for the first meeting as well as announce the location once I figure out what that will be. I ended up with www.communitybuildrs.com as the domain name. It was one of the less horrific domains still available. Please feel free to create a quick account to join in the discussion and express your interest. I'm really looking forward to sharing our thoughts and ideas.

I figured a good place to start would be for us to introduce ourselves - where abouts we live, and what our interest and experience with Drupal is etc. Please add your introductions as comments!

June Santa Barbara Drupal Meetup! - Thu., 6/12, 6-10pm
Based on the discussion thread and chatting with a couple of folks offline, I think we might as well set a date! With 16 of us (and more to come, surely!), it is unlikely we will find a date and place that works perfectly for everyone, but I suggest we start with this (second Thursday of the month) and see how it goes.

we're mostly friendly. and mostly fun. but we're pretty geeky. in a cool way, of course. but this month we're a bit melancholy on the news Crystal is leaving us for Seattle. :-/
the good news is that we taped our meeting. ya, real geeky. but LA area is HUGE. and sometimes making it to the meeting in person can be difficult. so there you go... we're geeky but thinking about everyone that wanted to join us, but couldn't.

Anyone in the SB/Ventura area planning to attend DrupalCampLA in September?
I can carpool with a few folks from Ojai/Ventura area if anyone needs a ride.
I wondering whether to go for one day or two. Last year, there was no actual camping at the AOL head quarters and so we had to get (none-too-cheap) hotel rooms or find ways on to roof-tops ;) The last BarCampLA was the same. I'm hoping this will change, but it depends on venue availability of course. In any case, it's good to plan ahead.
If we go two days, anyone know any good places to crash?

The first videos that are listed are our May 2008 recordings of Scott Nelson covering the Services module and AMFPHP module (four parts).
