Check please?
I'd like to announce the creation of the British English translation team on localize.drupal.org! Members... you, hopefully!
After being asked to stop Ubercart talking about 'checks', I decided the proper way to deal with this was to get a translation, rather than fiddle with string overrides on every site.
There's a translation of Ubercart already in the works (here: http://drupal.org/node/615652) but if there any other modules that could do with a few strings de-Americanifying, hop in :)

Hi Canadian Guys and Girls
How to display the switch language bar in the main menu like you do on your sites (government and community alike and switch between Fr/En without showing the other menu? I would like to do a site following the Canadian way (language switcher in the center menu and when you click one language you go the respective side). I'm using D6 with Internationalization/Localization/Nices menues modules
I work on local server, have all pages in 2 languages : en/es, but menu tabs in both languages appear in the menu central bar, can you help me with this?

I reckon Ubercart needs a British English translation, if only so we stop using string overrides on every single UC site we build for UK clients to stop them talking about 'checks'.
However, I know almost nothing about translation, either of core or contrib, and I have no idea where to start.
Do I need to register on the localization server and create a translation project node on Drupal?
And anyway, will Drupal understand a language code of the form 'en-GB'?

Hello everybody,
I use the i18n module for localization.
I create one node and translate it for 2nd language. Set this node url in primary menu.
Enable the Language Switcher Block. As i click on language, the page body part is not translated into 2nd language.
But , After i click on language from block and click on that menu then i get the translated page.
Can anybody have solution to get translated page as i change language from language switcher block.
Its urgent , so please forward your clues.
Thanks in advance.

Hi all the Amharic Drupal translation process is finally underway. We have done a good part of work! The translation would be available soon, hopefully. We used a number of resources that we think were and still are essential for carrying out the work. One such resource is found at the Ethiopian Information Communication Technology Development Agency (EICTDA) website download page.

I have been trying to get another language to work on my server and have had problems with bulk translation. On drupal.org I have posted the details I would appreciate if you could take a look and give some suggestions:

While currently the majority of Drupal people speak English as a native or second language, I think it would artificially limit the scope of the LUGO group to require it. I deliberately did not choose a language when I created this group because there was not an 'all' option. The audience and membership of this group is intended to be anyone, anywhere, who organizes a local Drupal User Group currently, or wants to start one. If we are going to encourage that second group to become part of the first, we will need to accommodate people that do not speak English at all.
