Who/Why:

For over 2 years Chicago Drupal has truly highlighted the benefits of an open source initiative. We have built resourceful bridges between many local Chicago establishments including non-profits, entrepreneurs, Drupal development companies, independent consultants, hobbyist, and others in the mid-west. Our goal for this Drupal Camp is to bring everyone together for open communication, education, fun, and industry networking.

What:

I am a newbie to Drupal and having trouble in searching for the best module for Advanced Search feature (focusing on data search based on a range of price, i.e. 1000-100000 USD). An example of this feature can be found at http://www.housebroker.com.au/search. I've been browsing around the internet and found some interesting modules related to custom search or filtered search such as CCK Facet and rListing.

I would love to know and appreciate your recommendations and experiences about the custom search modules, especially those for Drupal 6. Thanks a lot for help.

I'm in the process of releasing a new real estate listing module and currently looking for some testers.
The module is called uListing (for drupal 6.x) ... a newer better version of rListing (for drupal 5.x). rListing is free but only for drupal 5.x and uListing is not free. There's no plan for updating rListing to drupal 6 (at least not by me but anyone is welcome to try). However a conversion module for rListing to uListing is on the todo list. uListing is a complete code re-write (ie. taxonomy integration).

My business has recently finished developing a private real estate website in drupal, this has been our largest drupal job so far and involved writing a few custom modules and a lot of learning about more complex modules and features.

hi, i'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction for more information, i've read posts here, but since i'm new to developing sites for real estate agents, i'm having trouble sorting things out.

is there an example somewhere of simple access to mls information?

for example, if i wanted to set up a little test site to try out some mls stuff and just had a place to enter a mls number, and then display the information about that listing.

I've been involved in the real estate business for about 10 years (various large real estate sites) and was looking for anyone that has worked on implementing MLS RETS/IDX integration into Drupal (or anyone that is interested in it) or has worked on real estate back office systems (Top Producer or Lucero - like). Having a site with listings and contacts is good, having integration and back office systems would make for a COMPLETE offering to Brokers......anyone here involved? interested? (any brokers/agents in this group?)

We are gearing up to provide more value to the Homeowners Association members by placing key forms and information in the members-only area (sorry! no peeking!)

It was in interesting deployment, due to the dual goals of providing an intranet area as well as promoting the property. Some of the limitations on information we could provide: no floorplans, no listings.

Among other changes, the intranet site now uses:

* modified zen theme
