This is for volunteer instructor or instructor's assistants only!
If you have previously registered an interest in teaching an Intro to Drupal Day at the upcoming NYC Intro Camp (on this thread http://groups.drupal.org/node/106924) then please confirm that you will attend by signing up for this event.
This is a "train the trainer". If you are attending this train the trainer session it is assumed that you are already very familiar with the following:
- How to install Drupal both locally and on a server
- How to set up and use all core features of Drupal
- How to build sites using CCK and Views
- Enough knowledge of Drupal and the Drupal "ecosystem" to answer questions from intro students about Drupal's suitability for various tasks (in general familiarity with the top 50 to 100 Drupal modules and what they do even if you haven't used them personally)

Please bring:
- Your computer.
- Thumb Drive just in case.
- Acquia AMP Installer. Please download the Aquia AMP installer
appropriate for your operating system from http://acquia.com/downloads .
That would be either "Stack Installer for Windows" or "Stack Installer
for MAC OS X" - Power strip if you have an extra.
I'll have a set of files to import into DAMP to get started and hopefully
also a Drush make file for those who want to run something else.
More location information...
Our location is 220A East 4th Street, between Avenues A & B in NYC's
East Village. The building has a blue banner and 5 front doors! Look for
the door with our big green logo on it (if you get to the theater, you
have gone too far). Our name's on the buzzer, and we're on the 3rd
floor.
Closest subway: F at 2nd Avenue Station (also J M Z at Essex St). Exit
from downtown end of train and you're at Houston & 1st Ave. (or across
Houston at Allen). Go north to 4th St and right 1.5 blocks to our door.
(8 minute walk)
F, M & J to Essex-Delancey Station is almost as close. Go north on Essex
3 blocks, cross Houston, and it becomes Ave A. Continue straight until
4th St, and turn right. 220 A is mid-block.
Buses: From 14th St, the 14A (goes down Ave A) & the 9 (along Ave B)
come to our corner. Bus 21 runs along Houston, too.
Bikes: avoid hazardous Houston St., and lock out front or carry up to
the 3rd floor.

Other opportunities to help with Intro to Drupal Day?
Snowpocalypse 2k10 has prevented me from returning to New York in time to attend this training. Will there still be a way for me to teach or otherwise help on the 15th?
