I am converting from D5 to D6 and Payflow no longer works. All transactions wind up in Pending state and it says it tried to use PayPal Express to do the transaction even though that is not configured.

Your Ubercart-Payflow Plus problem...
Walt, can you give more specifics on the versions of each component you are using
- D6
- Ubercart
- especially Payflow
Also, specifics on the flow of the problem transactions?
I'm pretty good at diagnostics, but need more details.... You've already blown past your deadline for resolution, so it certainly can't hurt at this point..
