Hello Drupal

pwolanin's picture

Assuming there are at least 2-3 interested participants, I'm going to run the 1.5 hour version of this "Hello Drupal" training http://training.acquia.com/hello_drupal as a break-out during the 1st part of the evening.

There is no charge, but cash donations of $5-$10 encouraged to defray the cost of our meetup.com group.

Can not make it

I need to leave for Pittsburgh Thursday morning - darn!

I you don't have enough participants this month, I would look forward to hearing it next month if that is possible.

Hello Drupal short version

Here is a version of the manual for the short session:
http://groups.drupal.org/files/HelloDrupal-Manual-ShortVersion_2011-07-i...

Please download that. If you want to take part, it would be helpful to do the steps on page 3 in advance:

Before you start
Weʼll use Drupal Gardens as our learning sandbox. This Acquia-hosted and maintained service contains a selection of many popular modules. Itʼs a great way to get started with Drupal.
Exercise: Create your first Drupal site

  1. Go to Drupal Gardens at https://www.drupalgardens.com
  2. Click “Create a free site”.
  3. Youʼll create an account to make your site. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Select the “Blog template”.
  5. Click “Create site”.
